The Blu-Ray Project Master Watch List

In which my wife and I watch (almost) every movie on our shelf in alphabetical order. Skips allowed for movies we know I can’t handle like most horror or thrillers. Titles are linked to my thoughts after finishing each movie.

Update: we’re still in the A section and I can confidently say I had no idea what this experience would be like. I’m watching so many things that are way outside my preferred genres and it’s such a bizarre time.

Update April 2025: sometimes a movie is so bad or weird that we have to take a long break before we come back. Or we play through the entirety of BG3. Regardless, we’re still in the B section and are about to enter the Batman Zone.

When Life Gives You Corpses is a brilliant YA about a cursed praying mantis who falls for a young witch. Yield Under Great Persuasion is a raunchy, but surprisingly sweet story of two men repairing their relationship. Fabulous Bodies is a horror story about a queer rockstar rising from the dead.

This is Where the Future Bleeds is a fantasy set in a vividly imagined land, where two women (who happen to kiss) are the key to healing the broken sky. You're No Better is a story about a teen struggling in the shadow of his murderous parent. Oil on Canvas is about a woman who finds disturbing paintings in the home of her dead mother.
