Okay, so this is something i read a while back. Danny is actually brice from another universe and he ends up in the bat cave somehow and a kit of things happens when they all figure out that Danny is a younger Bruce.
Does anyone know the story or have the link for it?
Danny: Saying things like that, make it hard for people to approach you.
Damian: Good.
Danny: .....I like it. It gives you moxy. We're best friends now.
Damian: What?
Danny: I'm Danny Fenton by the way. Here this is my phone number. I'll message you when I get on Doom. You play viedo games right?
Damian: No.
Danny: That's okay. I can teach you.
Damian: I'll deliver you to the Grim Reaper
Danny: Oh, cool, a Goth! I had a friend just like you-
Damian: Why would I care about-
Danny: This means I know you would love to go to Dark Poetry Night and an environmental clean-up art event on the same day. *Hands over flyer* I can pick you up around three, and we can get dinner, then make it to poetry night. What time is your curfew
Damian wide eye: Father expects me to be in bed at ten pm.
Danny *nodding*: I'll get you home by nine then.
Damian breathlessly: Okay.....
Danny: Great! Later! I'll text you!
Damian: What....what just happened?
Tim: You just experienced why Brucie Wayne is so powerful in the galas. That's what happened.
Okay I absolutely love the idea of pariah dark adopting Danny and I don’t see it quite often and I really like dead serious/Danny x Damien
After a bad Fenton parents revealed Danny escape to the ghost zone where he meets up with a very confused pariah dark who doesn’t understand why this baby ghost is acting hostile towards him and why the baby ghosts also injured so he asks and Danny is obviously confused on why pariah is acting so nice.
Danny then explains angrily to pariah about everything and based on the look on pariah’s face Danny can tell that something isn’t right and he finds out from clockwork that apparently the observance were being massive jerks and were manipulating pariah in order to get whatever the hell they wanted and of course pariah is furious with this because he was trying to make the realm a peaceful and happy place but he was being manipulated and controlled into being a tyrant and then imprisoned for it by the exact same people or beings that were controlling him.
pariah dark immediately then overthrows the observance stripping them all of their power and making them pay for what he did to everyone in the realm because technically it was their fault for controlling him. he then goes to Danny and tells him since he defeated him in combat he has the right to the throne but he is aware that Danny is too young, and will have him first get a bit older before he becomes the next king at that point Danny Lets it spilled that his parents are the ones who injured him and that they were still human and all of that and obviously pariah is not happy so he tries and succeeds in forming a bond with Danny essentially becoming Danny’s father.
And he also automatically takes Danny after forming the bond to the far frozen to get him checked out because there are severe injuries that are definitely not okay, and obviously everyone from the far frozen is shocked to see Pariah dark holding Danny, but after he explains exactly what happened they let him see Danny again but by that point Danny had retracted into his core due to his injuries.
Pariah obviously being concerned because he is Danny’s new father figure would try his best to get his new son to reform but what he wasn’t expecting was for his new son to reform into a toddler round about three years old.
After sorting all of that out pariah dark would then return to his castle and set everything up for his new son/Danny, and after setting everything up he would make an announcement to a very terrified realm exposing the bad deeds of the observers and declaring Danny the high prince of the infinite realms the next to take the throne.
Pariah dark then spends two years taking care of Danny and fixing the realms
As soon as Danny turns five pariah dark decides to do something that he still thinks is normal because he’s so gosh damn old he doesn’t know that arranged marriages are out of style or not really done anymore but nonetheless he tries to find someone perfect to engage his half mortal son to, and he finds them , he comes across a natural portal of corrupted ectoplasm and learns that there is a group that literally treats this portal like it’s a gift from a higher being or something so he thinks these people might be liminal enough that if there is a child there to engage his son with they will be closer to what Danny is than anyone else.
So during the next ritual the group has he appears and tries to make a deal with the leader to engage his son with any child near Danny’s age and luckily there is a six-year-old boy named Damien.
ra’s al ghul obviously not expecting a being to come out of the pit is a bit wary on what he wants but when he hears that this creature is the literal king of the afterlife and that he is looking for a partner for his son he immediately jumps on giving him any one of his own children but when he learns that the being has a five-year-old and does not want his son to be engaged anyone too old for him ra’s then offers Damien since Damien is only six and this is like the best thing that could ever happen having his grandson betrothed to the next ruler of the afterlife is like the best thing that could ever happen to him, and pariah and ra’s end up agreeing to betroth Danny and Damien.
Damien being a child raised by the leag of assassins obviously takes it as a great honor to be the fiancé or whatever to the prince of the afterlife and sees himself as the perfect and only good option so he is going to fully commit to proving that he is the perfect option for the Prince of the afterlife.
And as they occasionally meet up and get to know each other and they both start getting feelings for each other, but they both are kind of dense so they don’t really realize it, Danny is the first to realize that he likes Damien after Damien leaves to go live with his father, and is kind of sad that he can’t hang out with Damien anymore.
Damien on the other hand after spending a single year with his father realizes that he really really misses Daniel/Danny and then comes to the conclusion that he had actually gained feelings for his betrothed and is now upset that he can’t see Daniel/Danny anymore .
And like maybe a year or two or maybe even three later under some circumstances they meet up again and they literally won’t leave each other alone because they haven’t seen each other in so long.
Kay. They meet again. How? Classic cultists? JL summons Danny for assistance? OOOH! I've got it.
This is going to be an interesting meeting. The meeting itself is routine, every year the whole league meets to suggest and discuss potential new members then decide who to extend invitations to. The interesting part is JLD being here. Well, a member of it, but Dark's recruitment is generally separate from the League's.
Oh. They have an announcement and are going first. What sort of world ending magical disaster is on it's-
They have a suggestion? For the JL? A hero named Phantom?
Its like Captain Marvel then. He's magic based (from a different dimension!!!), but functions more as a leaguer than as a member of Dark. Handles lots of natural disasters. Search and rescue type, but can deal with structures and the disasters. Prioritizes people though. Excellent addition then. The royalty thing isn't even new.
What do you mean he's a ghost?! You said other dimension! The afterlife is not a dimension it's the afterlife! Being the space between dimensions doesn't count!
Anyways, the point is that in order to fulfill his protection obsession - I hc halfas have two one for the human side and one for the ghost. The human one can change bc humans change, the ghost one is set. Vlad's ghost one is Power bc he felt powerless when he was in the hospital and that was his ghost's formation. His human one is the fentons, but shifts from just Jack and Maddie to include Danny bc it's the human's. Danny's are protection (bc he yearns for it when he dies, and becomes to others what he didn't have) and space (bc his human side was already obsessed the human way. It shifted from just space to space-engineering bc of the work he had to do with his parent's weapons) - danny pops out and helps with disater relief efforts, mostly focusing on protecting the people. He joins the JL and everyone thinks he's terrified of Batman bc he's very polite and almost trying to get his approval? (He and Damian discussed that Damian would tell his Father about the betrothal after some time, but that time period happened just after the lost in time bit started and then Damian was Robin and when Bruce came back he had to adjust to a new Batman and a whole person that wasn't there in the house so it kind of slipped his mind. (And maybe he wanted to keep Danny as His for a little longer). He's a teen (again) but he realizes that being a teen means he's not taken seriously when he's trying to help so he ups the spooky a smidgen and makes a big deal about being unable to age (true for full ghosts), tells personal stories from long times ago (time travel shenanigans), etc. JL don't realize he's a kid. He picked up some misc knowledge from his Dad (who is never too busy for him? Ever?) that he uses too.
Dany and Damian reunite on the watchtower. Robin was sent to fetch Bruce for Agent A bc he has some important thing in the morning and it's getting late. Phantom is part of the late meeting, that took a break for late dinner. They see each other, run towards each other (Danny phases through everything and everyone in his way, Damian vaults over at least one thing and shoves people aside) hug each other and just don't let go. Constant contact. Bruce is confused. Damian and Danny are confused that Bruce is confused.
Batman asks why Robin is so attatched to the High Prince of the Infinite Realms. Danny has the realization that Batman was not being overly professional and in fact does not know that he's his future son-in-law. He turns to Damian.
"You didn't tell him?"
"Of course I told him, at the time we agreed I would! It was... It was when Nightwing was Batman."
"So you told Nightwing? And he kept it from your Father?"
"No I did not tell him! I was going to wait the time period under my new guardian! Then Father returned before that and it slipped my mind to mention it."
"You forgot? You forgot ME! I'm hurt. I'm abhorred. I'm calling it off. It's done. Over. Let me tell my Dad." This is accompanied with suitably dramatic poses for each sentence.
"What did Robin forget to tell me?"
"That he's betrothed. To me, specifically. Exposure to the Lazarus Pit, even just the vicinity, combined with what could be passed down genetically means he's compatible for the Realms. Still mostly human, which is important for reasons pertaining to my Death, but could withstand the Realms despite that."
Idk about the aftermath, someone else would have to pick that up. But I kinda emphasized that they think Danny is really old so Drama with that.
Dick: Hey guys. This is my friend Danny, the kid I'm mentoring in gymnastics. Danny, these are my siblings. Jason, Cass, Tim, Steph, Duke, and Damian.
Danny: Nice to meet you all
Duke: You too!
Damian: How old are you? What is your last name?
Danny: I'm fifteen and it's Fenton.
Damian: hmmmm.
Dick: Let's head over to the Manor's private gym. I want to work on your form some more
Damian, as soon as they leave: that's my future husband.
Duke teasing: Is he now?
Damian: Yes, our engagement was made between Grandfather and Clockwork - his spiritual grandfather-ten years ago. I believe Daniel is unaware of it, seeing as he is not wearing the symbolic necklace and did not react to my name, but that was him.
Tim: Every time I learn something new of your upbringing, I become more alarmed.
Steph: You aren't planning on marrying him are you?
Damian: Of course. We have a contract to fulfill. It's beneficial that he has a lovely physique and gets along with Richard. I do not mind calling him mine.
Steph: I was afraid of that.
Cass: Do you realize what this means? One of us got to tell Bruce, and worse, Dick.
So an idea if you want to use it (sorry if it is long-)
I was reading a fic where Jazz, Danny, Dan and Dani(Ellie) were trasnported in Gotham but the twist? they are children
Jazz is 10
Dan and Danny are 5
And Ellie is a 1 year baby
So what if....
Jazz becames a vigilante by accident (bc she killed the Joker when he was teatening her siblings) and they decide to hide in Wayne manor. why? well bc is the only place where is "safe" also bc Danny and Dan wanted to invade an Fruitloop mansion (only Alfred and Duke knows theyre there-)
But the best part? All the Fentom sibling are children of Bruce Wayne (just think abt it-)
I think the fic you're talking about is Alfred and the Tiny Attic Squatters! I highly recommend it for those who haven't read it, especially for the interactions between Jazz and Damian.
My version of this prompt isn't be as good as this fic, but I hope you enjoy it!
Wayne Manor is a large estate. It is a seven-story building with seventy rooms within the one hundred and fifty acres owned by the Waynes. It had three pools, the largest outside and the smaller indoor pools on the third and seventh floors. Two helipads were on top of the west and main wings.
They were no longer traditional wings but an interconnected section built under Master Thomas' watchful eye. He wanted the Manor to be one massive unit, discarding the social barriers previous heads of the family had wished to create with the buildings.
Although the East wing was seven floors, it was initially the servant's chambers, the West was visiting for guests that were not quite important enough to be within the inner circle of the Waynes, and the Main one, the most elegant of them all, where the Waynes lived, and occasionally hosted the most important members of high society.
Master Thomas made it a project to upgrade every inch of the Manor to ensure it had the latest modern delights. He took that opportunity to build hallways connecting the wings, making them as important as the Main.
However, the servants had been so used to describing the grounds in the old manner that Master Thomas could not stop people from referring to the wings regardless of his good intentions.
When Alfred was hired, he was one of the twenty butlers employed by Master Thomas. There were the twenty maids, the ten chiefs, and the three groundskeepers.
The large estate was never without noise or the people moving about. Someone was always there, all proud to work for the kindhearted doctor and his philanthropist wife. Alfred had only applied for the position because, at the time, he had not been handling losing his entire team well.
It was supposed to be a simple mission. Their last hurra towards the war's end, but the tensions at the borders had been underreported, and Alfred had been the only solider among the seven-man team to make it back from the front lines. The guilt was so heavy that he could not join his countrymen in celebration, drowning his sorrows in whatever bottle he could find.
Alfred tried for a few years to live as a civilian again, but every night, his teammate's screams haunted him. Soon, he could not stand being in England, not even to watch the country rebuild.
He had run from Her Majesty's service, run from his duties as a father, and run from his home. Somehow, he found himself working on various boats, working to buy his next bottle as a boat hand. One of those boats Master Thomas had boarded.
Alfred had just been informed he was fired for being caught drunk on the job too many times when he stumbled by Master Thomas' room. The crew would wait till they docked in America before throwing him off the ship. He had not meant to press his ear to the man's door, but the swaying of the boat and drunken balance had ended up with him leaning on the wood to stay upright.
That's how he overhears Master Thomas' choked cries for help. Alfred had burst through the door, startling a man with wire wrapped around Master Thomas' neck.
An assassin had been sent to kill the young Wayne heir so his company would be broken up among unworthy cousins. Alfred's training had kicked in, and despite being so sloshed he was seeing doubles, the Englishman had defeated the would-be killer.
Master Thomas was so grateful that he offered him a job at the manor. Alfred had agreed since he had no other plan, figuring he would drink his way to his grave on the nobleman's coin.
Years later, no matter how often Master Thomas insisted Alfred saved his life, he knew it was the other way around. His boss had turned into a trusted friend, who pried the bottles from his hand, forced him to write to his daughter, and taught him to live once more.
Many whispered rumors of a love affair between the two, but Alfred never let it bother him. None of them knew Master Thomas as he did.
None of them understood the man loved the world with his entire heart, was so good that the idea of caring for someone just to get them into bed never crossed his mind, or that if sunshine could be personified, it would take the shape of Thomas Wayne.
Alfred was just one among the fifty-three employees, but he foolishly felt a part of the family anyway. They all did. Master Thomas could make anyone feel like a beloved cousin, and when he brought home Mistress Martha, well, the family had just gotten bigger.
The little paddle of Master Bruce's footsteps added to the noise and warmth of the manor. It was as if his birth filled a hole they had not known needed filling.
Wayne Manor was a large estate, but it never made anyone feel small within its grounds. Alfred devoted himself to ensuring everything was in top shape for his friend, becoming the head buttler when the last one retired and came to care for Master Bruce in his upbringing. The world was bright and joyful, and Alfred felt like he believed in hope once more.
Then, Master Thomas and Mistress Martha were killed.
All at once, the Wayne Manor fell silent. Master Bruce was far too young to manage his estate. His shares in the company passed to his uncle- a man Alfred detested greatly- his employee's pay cut off. Many of the servants attempted to remain for free, but it soon became apparent they could not survive without an income.
One by one, they vanished, the wings sealed shut upon their departure. Only Alfred remains loyal to the boy with Master Thomas' eyes but no longer with his spark.
Something broke inside of Master Bruce that day. Something that would lead to Batman would consume his every thought and soul. Alfred feared the boy would join his parents if he, too, left for England, leaving him to his uncle and the suddenly too-large house he once called home.
Wayne Manor was far too large for only two people. Alfred hated the way his footsteps echoed whenever he walked through the two wings because with Master Bruce remaining in the Main wing, there was no other sound except for Alfred.
He was alone. Again.
Alfred moved into the Main wing three months later, knowing he would go mad if he stayed in the East wing. The West Wing fell out of use when Master Bruce became obsessed with fighting crime and no longer allowed guests to spend the night.
Even years later, when Master Bruce used his playboy persona to hide his night activities, he never opened the two large wooded doors into the other wings. The parties were always in the Main Wing and had an end time. If a guest did stay, Alfred had a room in nearby rooms to the ballrooms ready.
When Master Dick was brought in, Alfred had put the lad on the seventh floor of the Main wing alongside Master Bruce. He then filled up the rooms downwards for all the following children. Alfred lived on the second floor of the Main wing, his room far back from the stairway, content with the thumps of the children overhead as they walked to and fro the manor.
He could not bring himself to unseal the wings. Not even when the children asked about the large double doors, always closed shut. The silence was a haunting reminder of the alley that took away the personification of sunshine.
Secretly, Alfred believed Master Bruce felt the same, so he never ordered the butler to open them. The children no doubt walk through the wings- one could not be a crime-fighting partner to Batman without breaking some unspoken rules- but there was nothing of interest.
Only furniture covered in cloth and empty rooms that held the shards of Alfred's broken heart. A part of life slowly forgotten in the wake of devastation. After a curious walk-through, the children never bothered with the two wings again.
Or at least Alfred believed them to become bored.
He was unsure why Master Damian, Master Duke, Master Tim, or Miss Cass would want to enter the East Wing after so many years. Yet here he stood, feather duster in hand, feeling shocked to see those doors again open.
Alfred had just been doing his bi-monthly dusting of the less used rooms of the Main wing when he noticed that the East wing door had been left slightly open. Someone had forgotten to close it properly, and the dust around the doorknob was noticeably thicker on one side than the other.
The lights in the hallway behind it were still shut off, dressing the other side of the door in shadows. Alfred could almost say the darkness was looming over him, taunting him with hurtful memories but calling to him all the same.
He had not crossed to the other wings since before Master Jason had been brought to the manor. Alfred had not been strong enough to survive hurtful members before, and his cowardness had led him to run from those wings.
Yet still, the darkness called.
Swallowing, the aged butler placed the feather duster down. He pulled out the smartphone Miss Steph insisted he owned to click on his flashlight. His gloved hands curl around the knob, his fingers starting to shake as he pulls.
The hinges creaked loudly, nearly downing out his shattering breath. It's noisy from the misuse, he knows, but it still feels like the Manor itself is accusing him of abandonment.
He nearly turns around right there, but he sees a slight glow at the far end of the wing. Smaller than the one on his phone, almost the stairway. It reminds him briefly of the glow-in-the-dark star stickers that Master Dick had placed in his room during the first few months of living in Gotham.
The lad had missed seeing the shine of the night sky.
Alfred's toes are right at the edge of the doorframe as he strains his eyes, trying to make out what the glow is. The shine moves around from the stairway, disappearing from sight, leaving him shining a light into the darkness of the old, empty hallway.
His feet move without much thought across the doorway as he stumbles- as silent as the night. Someone had taught Master Bruce, after all. He passes by white cloths dropped over furniture and empty walls- the painting had been moved to storage, the potted plants withered away years ago, and the vases either sold off by Master Bruce's uncle or lost in some place.
The air is musty, as Alfred had not bothered to clean or air this entire building out in years. His nose tickles from all the dust particles flying around as he swings his light carefully.
He stops just at the end of the stairway, eyes fixated on a window. A slightly open window, its glass unable to see through, but what really shocked him was the tiny handprint on the lower right panel.
It's the shape of a small child. The trail of footprints, outlined by the floors he long ago gave up on, is also that of a child's, leading towards the stairs and climbing them upwards. Alfred shuts off his light, pushing it into his pocket as he blindly uses the railing to guide him upwards.
The slight footprints do not go down hallways but keep going up and up until he's on the top floor and at the edge of the hallways where the master room of this wing is. Each floor at Wayne Manor, regardless of wing, houses three bedrooms.
The East Wing rooms are unique because they hold a sitting area, a small kitchen, and an ensuite bathroom. They were designed to make guests feel like they were staying in a luxury hotel so they would not feel snubbed for not being invited into the main wing.
They could be self-sustainable if they were not accompanied by servants.
Alfred could see the light turn on in the last room, hear various voices, and, most alarming, a blender was in use. He creeps closer, letting the noise of the machine mask his approach.
This door is slightly open as well. It was likely the same person who did not close the main entrance correctly. The crack in the wood is big enough he can peer through with one eye and not have his entire face in the open.
Alfred is stunned to find a young girl with red hair, no older than ten, standing at the counter fixing dinner. Master Bruce never shut off the wings' utilities merely because they were connected to the Main. The water, the heater, the light, and all of it were in use as the young girl let the blender stop, pouring a green drink into three cups.
She hums to herself, placing the glass into the sink. The redhead hops off the chair with an easy little twist of her feet, moving towards the wall oven and looking through the glass door.
"Pizza is almost ready!" She calls. Twin cheers pop up from Alfred's sight, but he doesn't have to wonder who released them for long before two tiny blurs rush into the kitchen.
A pair of young boys, likely twins based on their identical features, no older than five, press themselves against the oven. They have to stand on their toes to correctly see the pizza, but it does nothing to deter their excitement.
The little redhead girl pats the head of one of them on her way to the stove, pulling a milk bottle out of a pot on the stovetop. "Danny, can you bring Dani to me?"
Alfred wonders by the repeat of the name as the other little boy- the one she did not pat- steps away from the oven. He rushes out while the little girl tests the bottle's milk on her wrist. She seems satisfied with it just as the boy returns, pushing a baby stroller.
The girl reaches into the stroller, pulling out a tiny infant that could be no more than five months old. The child quickly has the baby latching on to the bottle with the ease of someone who's had practice.
"I made us some veggie drinks-" She starts, only to have both boys begin to whine. "-No buts! We need all the vegetables we can get to compensate for our small bodies. Lack of nutrition has played a severe role in us, and now that we've found a safe place to live, I'm going to feed us well."
"You sure you should be stealing from Bruce Wayne? It's not entirely safe to say he'll be understanding if we get caught," The other twin speaks up, sounding alarmingly too old for a five-year-old. Maybe they were older and were just small due to malnourishment, like the girl said?
"It's okay. We're been here a whole month, and no one even suspects. Besides, you know what Clockwork said. He is supposedly our biological father; even if he doesn't want anything to do with us, the least he can do is allow us this empty apartment."
"This is better than the car we lived in," The other child chirps "It even has a TV!"
"It's all old, but it works," The girl agrees with a smile, moving the bottle so the white liquid falls to the front. The baby is still slurping down the meal in soft gulps that can only come from hunger. "I'm grateful for the bathroom. I forgot what it felt like to be this clean. That reminds me, I will do our laundry in the tub later, so bring me all the dirty clothes you have."
Alfred retreats from the door, pressing his hand against his mouth. He needs to speak to Master Bruce. If the girl is wrong, if this Clockwork lied to them, they are still small children living in Wayne Manor for an entire month.
And none have been the wiser.
What if they are Master Bruce's children? What would Master Thomas say if he knew his grandchildren had been left to live on the streets for such prolonged malnourishment had stunned their growth?
Alfred all but runs the second he crosses the Wing doorway, mind whirling. He thinks it madness that has him bursting into Master Bruce's office because, for a second, he could have sworn the sunlight falling through Master Bruce's window was Master Thomas's smiling face.
"Alfred? What's wrong?"
"Sir, I believe we have unknown guests you should meet."
I have this idea for a post but I feel like you would do it justice.
Basically, Danny is yeeted through a dimensional portal and reincarnated as the clone son of Tim and Connor(from when Tim cloned Connor during his death). This little shit wakes up after that, when Connor has already been found, as a six year old gremlin with a need for chaos.
Que pranks!
I don’t have much more than that so I will leave this in your capable hands.

"Master Bruce, if I have to remind you to fix your tie one more time, Gotham will be without its protecter for many months to come!" Alfred snapped - actually snapped - from where he was attempting to reorganize the entirey of the Emberald Sitting room.
Right now, he moved all the furniture and all the wall directions. He was just adding some tastefully done flower pots to make the place look inviting but also regal.
It had been six hours, and from the looks of it, Alfred had not found the balance he desperately wanted. He started over four times. His patience was all but gone.
Bruce's hands snap to his tie, scrambling to get it set just right. He moves it only slightly to the left - not making much difference - with a nervous smile. Alfred's teeth snap shut with a click, and his eyes blaze with frustrated rage as he rounds the coffee table toward the billionaire.
Bruce looks to be holding back a scream.
Dick winces, sinking into his chair lest the aged Butler turns his ire onto him. He knows why this evening has to be just right. Especially to Alfred, but gosh, he could not handle how terrifying the butler could be.
It's just for one dinner and one evening. Dick tells himself. Once Alfred can finally say he married one of us off, things will return to normal.
"Honestly! If you didn't walk around looking like an unkeept vagabond all the time, maybe there would be a Lady of the House by now!" Alfred sneered at a pale-looking Bruce.
Or maybe Timmy bringing Kon over to announce their engagement means Alfred will try to marry the rest of us off harder. Dick despairs as Bruce endures another tongue-lashing. He wants to go help, but if he moves even an inch from his seat, Alfred might realize Dick is still in the room.
He can't afford to anger the beast any further.
"And you, Master Dick!" Alfred suddenly rounds on Dick, pointing one long finger into his face, with narrowed eyes and the grim reaper at his shoulder. Oh, dear.
Thankfully, that's when the doorbell rings. At once, Alfred's face clears into an excited smile. "They're here! I'll let them in right away; you lads, gather the rest of the family. And remember, we must make a great impression! Tonight is the night we invite Mister Kon into the family!"
The butler doesn't quite skip out of the room, but the bristle walking with a chipper head turning is the close that Dick has ever seen him do.
"I'm so happy for Tim." Bruce mutters,"but I can not handle any more reminders that I haven't had a spouse."
"Tell me about it," Dick sighs, following after his father into the hallway and down to the dining hall. He can distantly hear Alfred opening the door and greeting the two. "A hour ago, he made seven passive agressive reminders that Tamaraneans propse with a dinner and a mock battle. Seven. I mean, how does he even know what Tamaraneans do when courting?"
"It's Alfred." Bruce tells him, taking a seat at the head of the table. Dick sits in the chair to his right as the oldest and First Heir- considering the reply. It makes sense.
Damian, Cass, and Duke walk in, not even a moment later. All are dressed better than any gala Bruce could have dragged them off, too. He is rather impressed that Damian is a red suit that makes even Bruce pale in comparison. Then again, he is the only one besides Alfred who has an eye for such things.
"Has he already proposed, or is he doing it at dinner table and were all supposed to act supirse?" Duke asks while sitting down. "I want to know what kind of face I should have prepared"
"The clone has asked Father for his blessing in his courtship with Timothy. He knew we would have figured out his plans when that blunder. It is no surprise." Damian huffs. Dick knows he's just upset that his big brother is going to get married and move out soon. He's adorable when he's territorial.
"I can confirm that Kon hasn't asked yet." Steph announces, strutting into the room in all her purple gown glory. Behind her, the Row sbilings wander in with matching celtic blue suits, making Dick grin. It's always nice to see people appreciate the best color. "Tim isn't the type of person to not show off his ring whenever he has a chance."
"I've always wanted to see a real-life popersoal!" Jarro gasps, flying into the room with his own little suit on. It's a nice black with green undertones just like Bruce's.
He lands in the miniature chair with a dinner dining set Alfred had special ordered for him.
It sits on top of where a regular dining set usually is, always the second chair on Bruce's left, because he is literally the favorite. Bruce denies it, but they all see the tender smile he throws the floating star.
The Wayne kids know. Jarro is too precious and hilarious, so none of them mind that he's the favorite. In fact, Dick has half the mind that he's the favorite of the majority of the family.
Jason leans over to pat Jarro's head, grinning when the little starfish swears. He adores when the kid randomly curses out of Aldred's hearing range.
"Shh, they're coming!" Cullen says from where he was lingering by the door, hoping to see Tim and Kon. He always looked up to the older boys as someone who had been forced into the closet for his own protection.
Seeing people like him helped ease the fear, and Dick feels his smile wideing when Cullen scrambles back to his seat. He's so excited he's practically in the Speed Force.
Alfred opens the door first, stepping to the side to allow the guest to enter first. Dick feels himself sit up straighter, the moment really setting in, Kon is going to propose to his younger brother.
His little Timmy is growing up-
"Wow, this place is big!" A child says, running into the room. Who the heck is he? "It's amazing, Dad!"
"Slow down. You don't want to fall." Tim laughs, rubbing the stranger's hair with a soft smile.
"It's okay, Dad. I'm strong!" The boy flexes his tiny arms. Tim laughs again as Kon crouches down to the little boy's height.
"Woah! Look at all those musceles. You're going to help me protect your dad, son?"
"Yeah Pa, I'll be the strongest super or robin ever!"
"Tim? Who might this lovely chum be?" Bruce cuts in, voice slightly strained. No one calls him out on it since they are staring wide eye at the tiny little boy who looks like an exact copy of Tim at age five.
Dick knows because he was one of the few in the Wayne's who saw Tim at that age. He's practically a clone to oh no.
Dick thinks he's having a heart attack.
Tim looks up at them before a brillient glowing smile breaks across his face. "Everyone, Kon and I have an announcement to make!"
Kon wraps an arm around his waist, sending adoring looks to man in his arms before they both hold up their left hand.
There are twin silver bands on both of their fingers. "We got married in Las Vegas, and we have a son! I like you all to meet Danny Drake-Kent! I made him when I thought Kon was dead."
"I am Danny, clone of Kon-el and Tim Drake. Fear me if you dare!" His voice squeaks. Squeaks.
Scratch that, Dick knows he's having a heart attack.
You can hear a pin drop in the silence his announcement cause, as Danny puffs up his chest and floats a few inches off the grown.
Oh, great heavens, Dick is an uncle.
"A fellow clone, son!" Jarro cheers from his little table. He slams two of his star points on the table to a beat that he speaks to. "One of us. One of us."
Danny's blue eyes land on the star fish and widen. He raises both arms into the air chanting back. "One of us. One of us. One of us!"
"It's awesome is what it is!" Steph cries, jumping up from her seat. "Hi, Danny! I'm you, Auntie Steph! I'm the cool one."
"Isn't this lovely? Master Tim not only has a husband but a child as well. Unlike some Masters." Aldred doesn't quite glare at Bruce, but he doesn't have to. The Waynes know who he means as Bruce wince.
Danny pauses in his chanting to look her up and down, staring pointily at her plum colored dress before humming. "That's a bold statement for an eggplant."
Steph gapes at him as Tim roars with laughter.
Oh, Dick is going to love this kid. He leaves his seat, trying to get to his nephew as the rest of the family attempts to do the same. Damain makes alarming threats to Kon, letting him know he would easily take him out if he detects a hint of mistreatment to his brother and new nephew.
The Waynes act like they can't hear the threat because they all have their own versions of the shovel talk prepared. They just have to get the clone alone.
After moving to Gotham and having to deal with a stressful job, Danny has started taking walks around the city as a way to destress.
Since he knows that he could get mugged, he just becomes intangible and invisible while listening to some loud music on his phone.
Unfortunately for him, his control on his Invisibility keeps slipping when he gets lost in his music, and the people of Gotham keep seeing a semi-translucent ghost man walking around at night aimlessly.
Some thugs think it’s just a meta with invisibility and try to mug him, but pass right through and he disappears completely. This convinces them that he is a ghost, since having both invisibility, and intangibility would be too big a coincidence. Not to mention he never reacts to them whatsoever.
The Bat’s get word that a Ghost has been stalking the streets of Gotham, and he looks scarily like Bruce Wayne from the little they have been able to see from him. Now Batman thinks his dad may have come back as a ghost.
Danny is oblivious to all of this. He just likes his nightly strolls.
What if the stressful job he’s dealing with is funeral director/mortician. So when he takes these walks he’s often wearing a fairly nice suit, maybe one that’s a little old fashioned that he bought used in order to save money but still look professional. Or maybe it’s an old one he “borrowed” from Sam’s dad, one the guy wouldn’t miss with how he changes out his wardrobe every gala season.
This kind of outfit, of course, lends further credence to the theory that this is Thomas Wayne’s ghost, cursed to wander the crime ridden streets in which he died.
One night Danny had a little accident as he was leaving the embalming lab to get home. He was actually pretty annoyed about it. He swore the new guy had it out for him, with how he just happened to be carrying old Mrs Smith’s drainage when Danny popped in to say good night and just happened to spill some of it all down the front of Danny’s second best dress shirt and just happened to not get a single drop on himself.
Ellie comes to visit at one point and is super excited to show Danny her new shapeshifting powers. She can’t do a lot right now, not yet, but it’s enough to play around with in the streets of Gotham.
Danny is thrilled his little starlight is learning new powers. To celebrate, both of them dress up real nice and hit the town, taking full advantage of their ghost abilities to make the most of it. They get some ice cream, see a movie, freak out some tourists, scare the shit out of the Joker, mess around near the clock tower, and eventually calm down enough to enjoy the night air through a long walk.
Ellie is giggling and skipping ahead of him, taking advantage of the empty streets to freely shift her form every other block. With one step, her hair is twice as long and sparkles with an unnatural gleam. The next, her dress has turned bright green and the flowers stitched onto the hem wriggle and dance in tune with their blasting music. Danny calls her back when she gets too far, and when Ellie turns around, all of a sudden she looks like a boy with a suit similar to his and an adorable pixie cut.
Danny just sighs and takes his daughter’s hand. He knows that one day, when her powers are more developed, Ellie will truly cause him a royal headache with all the trouble she’ll get up to using her powers. But right now, right here, he’s just glad to have proof that Ellie is becoming her own person. She’s thriving in ways he never will, and that fact alone comforts both of them. Ellie isn’t just a clone anymore. She’s his daughter, and he’ll humor her till the end.
It takes a few days for the thought to crystallize, past the unsteadiness of shock. For his normally brilliant mind to start making connections again. Chaotic. Fae-like. His… His Father was unchanged. A man forever trapped in time, yet free from that terrible alleyway in a way Bruce still isn’t. But the CHILD?
It brings to mind the old tales of changeling. Fae children left where human children were taken from. Or perhaps, like cuckoo birds, fae children who steal a human child’s place. It was… It was seeing himself replaced. His father laughing, playing, unknowing in his adoration of what he believed was his son. The child in Bruce had screamed in horror.
The man in Bruce knows his Father is not unknowing.
At least… he desperately hopes so. It is impossible to tell yet what the ghost of Thomas Wayne is actually SEEING. The world as it is? As it was? Something else, beyond Bruce’s human sight? He’ll need Constantine’s help. Everything in him is trying to fight calling him.
It takes all his strength just to say the words out loud. To ask Clark for help, all the way over in Metropolis City, but Bruce… he can’t. He can’t. He searches the city for signs of his Mother. Like everyone else looking finds nothing. Was she not worthy of a return? Did she not earn some impossible goodbye?
What God would separate his parents? Would cruelly tear them from each other’s arms? Is his Father looking for her? For him? He found him. Is it now his wife he searches the streets for? Imagining her around the next street corner, some function or charity, a dear friends house for a chat?
Or was he pulled back by the Fae Child. Yanked from his rightful sleep, to play house, by the willful demands of a magically powerful child? Did he stand above his grave and wonder where he was? One moment trying desperately to protect his family, the next a graveyard? The world changed. The endless questions haunt Bruce.
Ha. “Haunt”. He’s begun to hate that word. Trapped. His Father isn’t “haunting” anything. His Father has been TRAPPED by this city and a child that Shape-shifts like water flows. Has Gotham not asked enough from his parents? Did they not already pay, for the crime of caring, in blood? Behind him Damian is less practicing his stances, as he is wrathfully hacking away at a training dummy.
Bruce continues to type at the bat-computer, gives him his privacy as he works through his emotions. The disrespect to his grandfather’s spirit. The lose and hurt he is feeling. Damian has never gotten to even meet Thomas Wayne. Known him only as stories and other people’s memories. Paintings upon walls. Old journals.
Beautiful but empty things.
The spaces outlining where a man once stood. A great man. A kind one. One who would have loved him fiercely and been endlessly proud to call him his grandson. One he now sees played a puppet along the filthy streets he died on. Sees at the mercy of forces unknown, to ends unknowable.
Who sees it hurting his family.
Alfred is nearly a ghost himself these days. He has caught him staring at his parent’s portrait so many times. A truly lost expression on the man’s face. When he had thought it a hoax he had been offended but now that it… it is likely REAL? There were so many things left unsaid. Things they wished they could share with his parents.
It is grief ripped anew.
His Father… He had told him he had done a good job. The look on his face excited and melancholy like he was remembering the escapades of Bruce’s youth. When mastering something meant then turning around to show off to his parent’s. Was he proud? Is he?
Bruce is afraid to ask. Afraid to know.
But he will not let his Father be trapped in the city that killed him. Cursed to wander the city of curses. For all he loved this city, Thomas Wayne earned a peaceful rest. Deserved to sleep along side the wife who he loves and loves him more than anything but their son. To dream of dancing and stars and peaceful afternoons, in whatever comes after. Not this. His Father does not deserve this. And Bruce?
#he totally asks alfred if martha was pregnant#she was#no idea the gender#but appearently#the baby decided it was a girl after death#constantine comes to check it out on bruce’s insistence#and apparently bruce’s parents managed to become king and consort of the dead in the infinite realms after they died#bruce has to sit down HARD#dcxdp#mistaken identity au#danny as thomas and sam as martha#and ellie starring as unborn child!
Is reincarnation a thing in the DC universe? If so, then John can somehow test if these are actually the souls of Thomas and MArtha Wayne and the test saying that they were. The taruma this would cause Bruce having it confirmed. It isn’t demons or something taking their faces, it’s actually his parents. Would the two start to get some feelings or memories back from their previous lives due to their connection to death as a liminal and a halfa? Actually say things that his parents did or reference events that happened for them. Or them mentioning their daughters older brother then getting confused when questioned deeper, because they don’t have a son? How much would that hurt Bruce that his parents don’t seem to be able to consciously remember him? Also finding out that they became royalty in the afterlife would be a shock.
At some point, Sam goes up to a rooftop just to get a quiet moment to herself and curses when she finds an injured Batman passed out there.
Batman wakes up to a woman who looks like his mother applying first aid with steady hands while complaining about “self-sacrificing idiots not knowing their limits. How much good do they think they’re gonna do after pushing themselves to a point where they can’t do anything. At least Ellie didn’t inherit that.”
Bruce is still a little out of it from blood-loss or whatever, but he manages to absorb an important detail: her name is Ellie. The little sister he never got to meet is named Ellie.
After Sam realizes Batman is conscious, she starts talking to him. She says a lot of things like “don’t you dare die!” And “I know your work is important, but you can’t just run yourself into the ground like that” and even “as much as the realms would love to have you, you will not be showing up until you’re old and gray.“ She might be redirected some of her frustrations with Danny over the years.
Bruce makes a small choked noise before managing to say “understood,” in a relatively even voice.
It wasn’t much but Sam caught it, and Now she’s alarmed because Batman doesn’t do shit like that; what happened to him? Was if fear gas? No, he’d have an antidote for that. Did he get hit with some new kind of chemical weapon? Shit, now she feels bad for yelling at him.
She offers to stay with him until someone comes to get him, because leaving him alone on a roof when he’s drugged seems irresponsible. Fuck, he’s shaking. Sam ends up awkwardly looping an arm around his shoulders and trying to be comforting (which is really not her forte) until one of the other bats shows up. Then she promptly disappears because she wants out of this situation. She has her own traumatized hero to look after, thank you very much.
This concept has a lot of room for emotionally intense dramatic irony.
There could be so many interactions where Danny, Sam, and Ellie are totally oblivious.
You could have all three seeming to be ghosts because Sam is heavily liminal, and just popping up at random intervals.
Sam and Damian bust the same dogfighting ring and work together. Damian rescues a box of puppies from the breeder that was supplying the ring. Sam calms some of the dogs that didn’t make it enough to lead them to the ghost zone.
Jason gets pulled in off the street for a quick lecture on the aspects of self care and health that work differently for the undead. Danny asks him to come to him with any questions or concerns he has going forward.
You could have the Bats learn (correctly or incorrectly) that the Waynes reincarnated, and alternating between wanting to know them and not wanting to drag them into things when they seem to be living peacefully.
Danny’s apartment ends up becoming a safe Haven for the Bats after the first couple of times he finds one injured and can’t just do nothing. They can come to him for patch jobs with no judgement, or just for company that doesn’t ask much of them on bad days. Being able to provide the kind of safe place he would have liked to have when he was a hero gives him a sense of contentment and peace.
For all that Batman is good at putting on a strong front when he’s out and about, the poor guy seems so lost and uncertain when he gets somewhere safe enough to drop the act, so Danny tries to be extra kind and gentle with him because he knows what it’s like to have to put on a brave face. (Danny doesn’t realize that Batman is different around him)
At some point Ellie gives Bruce a flower crown made out of dandelions and clover and Bruce just about loses it.
The flower crown is going to be carefully preserved and stored/displayed somewhere safe, isn’t it?
Batman may project stoicism, but at his core, he’s someone who cares a lot.
I’m still imagining Danny being gentle and supportive with all of the Bats. He tells them things he would’ve liked to hear as Phantom. (You are so strong and so brave and so good. You are doing enough. It’s okay to rest sometimes.)
Sam is not the touchy feely type, but she’s getting attached, too. No mushy stuff, but anyone who actually manages to seriously hurt one of the Bats will briefly disappear under mysterious circumstances and turn back up severely traumatized.
Ellie doesn’t take long to decide all of the Bats are family, now. She pesters Jason for shoulder-rides (He’s so tall). She is thrilled when Nightwing enables her need to climb and/or swing from everything (she could fly, but that’s not the same).
She made Tim promise that if he ever becomes a supervillain She can be his right hand man because fuck the gender binary (he was to busy laughing at a kid saying “fuck the gender binary” to figure out a tactful way to change the subject).
Ellie occasionally interrupts patrol to show Robin where she saw a family of opossums (almost always in places a normal child couldn’t reach/shouldn’t go).
Black Bat is invited to play ballerinas (even if they’re really playing warrior princesses undercover as ballerinas).
Ellie teams up with Steph to sneak some ice cream (they didn’t really need to sneak, but it was fun).
Even Oracle gets some crayon drawings (Ellie asked the other bats to give them to her once she realized Oracle probably wasn’t going to visit in person).
After the gala Danny started remembering. He remembered Bruce, his son, Martha, Sam, his wife, and his own past life name, Thomas.
He doesn’t remember everything mind you. Just enough to start wondering what Bruce thinks. He does after all look exactly the way he did in his past life sans the facial hair he prefers to keep shaved in this life.
And he got his chance.
Danny had taken Cujo to the dog park and Bruce sat next to him, a dog leash in hand.
“Hello Bruce.” Danny turned to his son with a small smile, “I don’t think we have been introduced properly. My name is Danny.”
Bruce turned to look at Danny, horror in his eyes, “I am sorry. I mistook you for the ghost of my father. Pretty much all of Gotham has.”
Danny’s smile grew a bit, “They are not very far from the truth. An accident in my childhood made me so close to the afterlife that I got powers and perks out of it.”
Danny knew that with Bruce’s curiousity him asking about his powers was only a matter of when and not if.
And he was right. Bruce was still emotional from learning that this was not the ghost of his father but curiousity took over his brain.
“Would you tell me about them if that is fine with you?”
Danny hummed thoughtfully, “I can fly, turn invisible and intangible, and with the right stimuli I can remember a past life.” Danny turned to look at Bruce intently, hoping that the man would get the hint.
And he did, Bruce stared at Danny with well hidden hope which Danny could pick up only thanks to his empathy.
“I might not be the ghost of Thomas Wayne but he is one of the several past lives that I can remember. Bruce… I don’t remember everything from any of those lives. I don’t know if I ever will remember everything but I remember enough to be able to say this: I am proud of you.”
Both stared at each other with teary eyes.
Danny blinked his away and a teasing glint entered his eyes. A glint Bruce knew well enough to be able to recognise it.
“By the way…” Danny smirked, “When are you marrying Selina?”
Bruce blushed a very lovely shade of red and his kids would tease him into the next century if they were at the dog park.
Danny and Damian are friends (also known as: Damian has a crush on Danny) PART 14
masterpost PART 13
Author's note: This week has been hectic af. The office where I work changed buildings and I'm gonna be assigned more onsite work outside of the office (I'm hella scared, it's gonna be the first time I do that). Anyways, please enjoy!
When dinner is finished Dick proposes that he and the other younger ones go to the third floor living room and have a couple rounds of Smash Bros while the parents and guardians talk about adult stuff.
“Dude, you’re also an adult.” Duke reminds him.
“And my legal guardian if something ever happens to father.” Damian adds.
Both brothers are looking at their oldest with a deadpan stare as they speak.
“Let’s not forget the knee.” Steph helpfully adds.
“You’re married too.” Cass joins.
“Stop lying to yourself.” Jason says.
“Dude, you’re old too.” Danny tells Jason as he looks at him the same way Damian and Duke had looked at Dick.
Jason then proceeds to smack Danny’s nape while Dick scoops Damian up with his left arm and locks his other arm around Duke’s neck, successfully taking them away to towards the stairs to the upper floors.
“Can I?” Danny asks Clockwork while massaging where Jason had hit him.
“Go have some fun.” Clockwork says.
“Thanks!” Danny says with a smile and the hurries to where Jason and Cass are waiting for him.
When the mostly younger group completely is gone, Bruce, Selina, Alfred and Clockwork are left in the dining room. Alfred proceeds to serve a nice glass of bourbon for each of the adults but himself as they begin to amicably chat among each other.
“Must you two torture the poor boys?” Bruce starts as he looks at his wife and Clockwork. “I thought Damian and Danny would have a heart attack.”
“Oh, don’t be a party pooper, love.” Selina says. “Besides, it is more than obvious that those two will need all the help we can give them.”
“Selina is correct.” Clockwork agrees. “Daniel has always been quite dense when it comes to romantic feelings, also, you have to admit it was fun.”
“It was.” Bruces accepts. “But I don’t think we should intervene so directly.”
“You’re only saying that because you have not seen them look at each other like dying does whenever they are together for the last five months.” Clockwork shares. “As adorable as it is it is also quite exasperating.”
“I am afraid young master Damian has the same trouble when it comes to romance, mister Woodlock.” Alfred comments from his spot at the kitchen’s entrance, where he is dutifully standing. “But in his case, it might be because of his genes.” The old butler adds as he looks at Bruce’s back-head.
Clockwork and Selina elegantly laugh at the butler’s antics
While the more grown-up adults chat downstairs, the living room on the third floor has become a battlefield.
“Kick him!” Tim exclaims.
“The damn controller is not working!” Steph exclaims back.
“Go Danny! Do a fatality!” Jason cheers.
“How the hell did we end up playing Mortal Combat?” Duke questions to the air.
“That was always the plan.” Dick answers.
“If Daniel wins then he goes against Jason, and if he wins that then he goes against Cassandra.” Damian informs as he checks his notes.
“Kick his ass.” Cass states with a confident smirk on her face.
“Yeah? You and what toaster? Just you wait, I’ll take the champion title from under your nose.” Danny promises without tearing his eyes from the screen.
“Big words.” Cass answers him.
Danny loses every match against Cass – they have like five re-matches –, so he passes the controller back to Dick.
With his sibling’s attention completely on the video game – or so he believes – Damian makes his move.
“Daniel.” The youngest of the brood calls to the owner of his heart in a whisper. “Do you wanna see my cow?”
Danny’s eyes shine like the brightest of stars at the proposition as he nods his head in a discreet but fast pace.
Damian takes Danny’s hand – a move that makes electricity course from the affected hand to the base of his spine – and oh so very quietly pulls him away from his nosy older siblings. When both teens reach the open-door Tim and Duke are at each other throats – in the game – with Jason and Dick cheering for each of them, Steph is laughing maniacally as she eats pop corn and Cassandra… Cass makes eye contact with Damian as Danny steps out first, a smile on the asian woman’s fairy like face as mirth shines in her eyes, Damian, of course, makes a schussing hand sign to his sister as he glares ate her, action that only makes her smile wider.
“All good, Damian?” Danny asks him as he pulls their still linked hands.
“Yes, everything is fine.” Damian answers but before he walks away with Danny, he directs one last warning glare to his older sister.
As they walk through the hallway Damian feels Danny’s hand, at first colder than most – Danny did mention having low blood pressure – slowly warming up between his fingers, and along that hand Damian’s cheeks when he realizes that he has been holding Danny’s hand for the last five minutes. Danny on the other hand is walking a bit behind Damian, letting him guide him through the maze of hallways that is the manor. Danny then looks down towards their linked hands and he can feel his core freaking buzz like a massive beehive, which immediately makes his paper pale cheeks blaze with rosy color and his pupils dilatate.
Oh, I like-like him. Danny finally realizes and then look up to Damian’s back head.
Okay so i kinda remember this one story. It's brucinette i think. Where marinette goes to school in gotham and becomes friends with Bruce and harvey. I don't remember much of it. I think i only read one chapter. So if anyone knows about it, could u let me know? Or if there's any other story where marinette goes to gotham when Bruce is still in school, I'd be grateful. Thank you

Anyone here with ADHD who can help me with some questions? I'll be grateful. My son has tendencies and I don't know what to do Or how I should help him
Do you have any Harmony fic recs for someone who hasn’t read any?
I am not quite sure which fics would be new reader friendly, so I will just place my favorites here, and will vary a bit the lengths and romance content, so you can pick where you want to start.
A Bed in Nassau by nightfallwhen (2k words)
Somehow Harry and Hermione ended up in the same hotel room during Ron's tropical wedding.
Corazón De Mi Alma by nightfallwhen (10k words)
Harry and Hermione travel to Mexico for the repatriation of a cursed Mayan artifact.
These are both cute and short Harry and Hermione getting together fics, and I especially enjoy them for the ease in their friendship that we see even before they get together, and Hermione's assertiveness in their relationship. These are concentrated shots of romance.
If You Get There Before I Do by continuedinterests (50k words)
Just what the world needs, another Harry and Hermione fall in love in the tent fic.
His glanced away from the empty forest to Hermione's dark eyes, still searching. "He won't find us." He used the sharp tone again, he still didn't mean it that way.
Abandon by continuedinterests (35k words)
Harry's twenty two years old but feels fifty. Everyday he holds court at the ministry. Everyday the crown becomes heavier. He needs to leave and it's obvious, clear and simple, who will leave with him. Road trip romance. Friends to lovers.
These two are plottier and longer than the first two, but primarily serve as character studies, especially for Abandon. There is a lot of exploration of the inner lives and trajectories of both Harry and Hermione in these fics. These small novels are if you prefer your starter to be a bit meatier than the one-shots, but still very relationship-focused.
And finally, the Time is Out of Joint Series by Rouch
When you change time the ripple can turn into a tidal wave. Hermione and Harry are thrust into a battle for the soul of the wizarding world. The horcruxes were just the start as time itself becomes the final weapon at Voldemort's disposal.
Hermione Granger and The Wounds of Time (150k words)
Hermione Granger and The Butterfly Effect (188k words)
This time travel series is still ongoing but it currently contains two massive novel-length fics. It has rich plot and relationships, the characters are very well-built, and I like the progression of the Harry/Hermione relationship very much here. This set is if you want to jump right into the heavier and more intricate works of the fandom!
Please note the Graphic Depictions of Violence tag however, and I would like to add an implied sexual violence tag for the first one especially.
I hope you find a fic you like! Please don't hesitate to send more asks if you have questions or want more recs!
Okay.... So I'm looking for a story. I don't know if it's brucinette or not but marinette got reincarnated into talia's body? And she'll be living her normal life but Bruce would be suspicious and and would keep tabs on her and she'll get angry and would just go off on him for being racist among other things. Does anyone know about this and its name/author?
