âThere is a school of thought that these men we work with were already interested in children and went off to look for it â that they are born paedophiles. But thatâs not my thoughts. I think a lot of the men we work with go down what I call a potentially escalating pathway. Mainstream pornography sites are changing the thresholds of what is normal and I think itâs dangerous. Of course most people can watch extreme porn and walk away but I donât see those people. What we are seeing on a daily basis is the conflation of easy access to hardcore and deviant pornography and an interest in child molestation. The link is unambiguous.â
While he acknowledges that this content is legal and defended as fantasy acted by adults, he says it is still dangerous.
âThink of young women emerging into the sexual world and meeting men who are into strangulation and anal sex. Itâs not criminal, itâs not being reported, but as a social and cultural experience itâs really significant.â
Over the years he has watched as the profile of the individuals appearing before him has changed, a change he sees as closely linked to the way in which some men react to watching extreme pornography at a young age.
âMy earliest clients were child molesters. They tended to have been beaten, abused or have some sort of dysfunction. Iâve found in the last 10 years that increasingly people who view child sex abuse material donât seem to have that history. They are mundane, ordinary people from all walks of life.â

People in my replies be like âbUt wHaT aBoUt fRuIt TrEes and CaMpInG GrOuNdSâ. Yes thatâs pretty much my point. Trees are only valuable if you can make money off them or hijack them for human activities, rather than because they literally sustain life on earth.
In capitalismâs eyes, everything is but a tool or resource to make profit. Workers and nature alike. A forest is not inherently âvaluableâ to a capitalist; individual people are treated as âhuman resourcesâ and labour for 8 - 13 hours per day, most days of their life, until theyâre physically too old to continue.
We will only attain a better world when nature and people become inherently valuable, rather than something to exploit.
Under capitalism (i.e., individual liberty), you are perfectly free to buy up as much land as you can afford and DO NOTHING WITH IT. Nobody can legally take it from you, or force you to âexploitâ it. You (your family) can sit on it, for generations if they wish, just because you think it looks neat and donât want to change it.
Under collectivism (whatever flavorâsocialism, communism, fascism), anyone with enough influence can use the government to force you to sell, or just fucking TAKE your property, because some crony of the government wants to exploit it for his own gain. (Proving once again, as if the picture above didnât already make this point, that no one is as greedy as a collectivist looking at someone elseâs property.)
This is important for guys to remember too anyone can be abused and nobody should feel like they have to stay in an abusive relationship if they have a way of getting help or leaving
