Also I am once again sighing at the fact that all examples of disabled artists these people provide are traditional artists and writers. Who do not make drawings to be a large part of an ongoing story, like a comic, game or animation. Once again showing that these people think of Art as interchangeable, and not some particular thing that the artist wants to make to portray a particular thing a particular way. As long as it "contains their soul", that's all that matters!

Well, if it makes you feel any better, this isn't my main blog. I have another one that has my other stuff on it, for the very good reason that sometimes you just don't want the discourse today. And I imagine a lot of other folx are similar. Another big part to consider is that anti ai blogs/posts very rarely get any sort of pushback, so they don't have a reason to have a lot of reblogs or answered asks. AIdvocates get a lot of pushback just for existing.
lmao I definitely started out that way, but nowadays my blog is I guess a general ideology blog where I post about my opinions on a range of things (e.g. fiction vs reality, interpersonal ethics) rather than just AI. I've also seen a few other people who's expressed pro-AI sentiments but they definitely post about other stuff too (e.g. @self-loving-vampire, @fipindustries)
And while pro-AI discourse definitely has its tropes as well, people also come up with new things every now and again, whereas there just doesn't seem to be much to say on the anti-AI side except "AI bad" so no-one can sustain an entire blog off of being anti-AI without cycling what is essentially the same content over and over (tho I could just be biased here ofc :'D)
I find it very amusing how people say ChatGPT “steals” water. From whom, exactly? I’ll admit there are more essential uses for water but the use of water for non essential services isn’t stealing any more than someone watering their lawn is stealing

what is it about genai that makes people lose all sense of perspective. like surely. AI makes me feel more heard and seen than any human has, so yes, I will continue to use it when I'm feeling like shit instead of dealing with people who get exhausted with me five minutes after I open up about my mental health struggles.
You use AI, oh my god
The fact that the anti-AI sentiment became prevalent on the broader internet is frustrating. And it's prevalent in a completely braindead way too. People either think the only AI that exist are the current big LLMs and image generation models, or they hate on all AI, somehow? At least they should be specific about what kind of AI they disapprove of, because it sounds absolutely braindead when they just say that "AI is bad". And if you are one of these people reading this and you think "I got it, I will say generative AI is bad!" well that still sounds braindead, because generative AI models are still not just the models you hate, there's many uses you would approve of. Even though I think the models people really hate are fine, I can see why someone would dislike Midjourney for example and even show intense hatred towards it. Even if I think that's cringe, that's valid feelings to have I guess. But while they do that, they often call the model just "AI" and that's just ridiculous. One other funny thing is when people say they don't use AI, and well that's just not true obviously. Everyone uses AI, often a lot. Google search uses AI for example. It's like, if you hate apples, you wouldn't say you hate fruit while eating bananas.
