Tetsuji beckoning Kevin over to him at the Winter banquet and without even needing to be told Kevin gives him his left hand to inspect. The hand Riko broke that Kevin is always so careful with he gives to the Master without a second thought.

the first time kevin calls andrew 'drew', the goalie shoots kevin a look that does nothing to hide the unmistakable heat climbing up his neck and cheeks. kevin misses it entirely, not even looking back at andrew as he strides towards fox tower. as if the nickname didn't freeze the persistent hum of noise in andrew's head, tilting him off axis for just a moment. andrew considers himself fixed when he catches up to stick his foot between kevin's ankles, tripping him mid-sentence. the resulting squawk of outrage has him cackling all the way back to their dorm, kevin hot on his heels.

Thea and Kevin reunite years after their breakup, catching up on everything they've missed in each other's lives. The conversation is going surprisingly well until Kevin realizes he somehow has to explain that he dates guys now.

More importantly, how exactly is he supposed to explain who he's dating?

Concept:

I am obsessed with the idea of Riko using Andrew going to Easthaven as an opportunity to get Kevin back. The only people who can keep Riko from him are Andrew and Wymack and Kevin was separated from them both.

Not to mention Neil would also be out of the picture by heading to Evermore. So Riko’s going to kill two birds with one stone by having both his run away flock return to him.

Nathaniel may escape him again but the real prize was always Kevin.

Kevin who’s alone for the first in a long time suffering the lack of a partner and is seeking the only other person who can make everything okay.

Riko doesn’t just want Kecin to come back no he wants Kevin to crave his presence like he needs air to breathe.

Poor Neil thinks he’s going to protect Andrew and when both of them return to the Foxes they’ll realised they’re missing someone.

Andrew knows his Kevin. Their Kevin, he knows he's arrogant and quick to throw insults, but he's theirs and they... don't want any other Kevin. He's a picky eater, so he always chooses take out when they visit. He doesn't allow so much as beer into his fridge, god forbid something stronger.

And when they see something change, it hits them like a truck, and Andrew knows Neil sees it too. Firstly, he only says "It was a good game, Andrew, it's always pleasure to take a win from you. Neil, you already know what I think." when he gets into their rented car and shuts up about exy until Neil asks him something. It's... Strange. Worrying and unsettling.

Then Kevin asks what they want for dinner. Then Andrew sees a pint of his favourite ice-cream in his freezer when he puts away the leftovers. It's starting to look awful.

They watch Kevin stealing Neil's dirty socks to give him a pair of clean ones.

"You're stinky," he says, before looking apologetically at Andrew. What to apologise for? That doesn't make fucking sense.

Andrew searches for Neil's gaze and finds it, of course he does, and Neil looks as bewildered as Andrew feels. This is so fucking stupid.

Kevin puts Animal Planet on TV, because he knows Andrew loves it, and- Honest to god. He asks:

"You want some beer?"

"No, what the fuck?" Neil jumps up from the couch, looking at Kevin wide-eyed and mouth agape.

"Okay," Kevin shrugs.

"Not okay! Why are you doing this? You're driving us insane!"

Kevin looks small and scared on his side of the couch, almost sad.

"You don't like beer?" he snaps, "Whatever, you can just say no, I won't cry or anything."

"Won't you?" Neil squints his eyes at him.

"No," Kevin even sounds small, fuck him for being so pretty and with bitten red lips.

"What," Andrew says with his almost steady voice, "Have you done to our Kevin?"

"He killed him. I swear he did," Neil answers.

"I did nothing to yo- I am Kevin. You know it's me."

"You definitely don't act like it." Neil starts to check Kevin's body for anything hidden. "Is it aliens? We're you abducted or..?"

"Leave me alone!" Kevin shouts at Neil, pushing away Neil's hands. He looks fucking broken. "It's me, I am Kevin. You're just too up in your asses to notice me- to notice anything."

"That's our Kevin," Andrew teases him, "And whatever you've been trying to prove there, it's bullshit."

"Yeah," Neil takes his seat beside Kevin, "We can tolerate you just how you are."

Kevin starts choking after that, as if Neil's words got stuck in his throat.

"I mean- We can take you just how you are? Is it better?"

"No," Kevin shakes his head.

And they don't talk anymore after that, only stare at the TV, lights are dimmed in the living room, and Neil hates bright lights, what a coincidence.

Whales starts to hunt in groups, herding prey into a circle and eating it together. Neil's skin is hot pressed against Andrew's.

"You can switch," Andrew says quietly, "I've seen it three times already, let's watch Nefertiti secret or something."

"No," Kevin says, "I'm starting to like it."

And they're all aware of something huge hanging over their hands in the air, and all ignore it for the sake of not breaking their fine truce.

Until Kevin groans and:

"No, I can't watch it, sorry. It's awful, Andrew, you can't be into it. Animals are weird, I don't want to know more and it makes me sad when they kill eachother and-"

"You can switch, I've already let you."

"Thank you." Kevin switches to History. "It's just... I... Sorry if it's weird, I just..."

"We're listening."

"I miss you. And I thought, if I were a good host you'd want to come over again," Kevin plays with the strings of his sweats and Andrew wants to bite his fucking fingers. "Can you take the beer with you?"

"Yeah, of course," Neil says with a tiny smile. "No, we can't, we- No, we will. You don't worry."

kandrew with transfem kevin is fascinating to me because clearly they both love and are attracted to each other but kev is experiencing body dysmorphia everytime andrew looks like he wants her thinking "am i not passing enough since andrew is into me?" and cut to andrew sitting in bee's office contemplating "why am i as a gay man attracted to kev who is clearly a woman"

kevin day dying at the hands of riko moriyama. his brother, his partner, his everything.

the ravens don’t notice at first. kevin and riko often have different business to attend to after all, being the legacies of exy and what-not. but then they do. riko picks wayne berger as his partner on court after a six day absence, and kevin sits almost motionless next to the master. he doesn’t blink. he doesn’t move.

jasmine lane has never been anything but awful to jean moreau, yet she’s the one who asks him what is wrong with the king and their queen. she’s horrified at the stillness of kevin, and wonders if perhaps the unkindness the king shows his subjects has befallen kevin. jean has already devised a plan to die himself, now that kevin is gone there no longer is a promise to keep. he doesn’t, because jasmine lane extends a kindness she has never shown before, finally realizing that being perfect court is not what riko makes it out to be.

kevin’s corpse is dragged around by riko, and to most ravens it’s as if kevin is still there. their king is going mad with the loss of his queen, and no one can pick up the pieces. no one can fill the hole kevin left. so they play along.

riko can’t hide anymore when jasmine lane and jean moreau, the most unlikely duo, alert the media that something is wrong at the nest. press floods the scenes of evermore, cops search all the rooms.

kevin day is dead at the hands of riko moriyama, and he is avenged by jean moreau and his new partner jasmine lane. the ravens collapse, and only moreau and lane survive the fall.

jasmine lane leaves and never comes back to the states, and jean moreau goes to south carolina to tell a man about his son. his dead son, who he will never meet.
