what's worrisome is that everyone has more or less the same primordial version of history these days when you look into mainstream discourses, just like putin. ukrainians say they're actually the real inheritors of kievan rus, the russians are asiatic barbarians. israelis say they have a 2,000-year-old biblical claim to the land. azeris and armenians go back and forth over who has lived in the caucasus since time immemorial. china says taiwan was always chinese and pulls out 17th century fishing maps for the south china sea. and so on, and so forth, none of this broaches the fact that the real problem here is that people are getting bombed, tortured, and raped in the name of these pathetic fantasies, not the veracity of the claims

it is very silly to observe that "trans person not currently medically transitioning" is considered a comparatively palatable (in an EXTREMELY limited sense. you think people treat non medically transitioning transfeminized people in any sort of preferential way?!?!?!) when interacting with a transphobic culture and then take this up with the goddamn trans people who aren't currently medically transitioning!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look I don't have a whole tag of 'hubris is a coward's word' for nothing.

Anyway 99% of humanity's evolutionary and civilization success comes down to using tools and prostheses for things most animals need to rely on natural attributes to accomplish at all. There's a spectrum that starts with clothing and cooking fires and ends with disembodied brains and remote-controlled drone bodies, and any bright line you draw on it about where 'human' stops is going to be more or less arbitrary.

Also anyone who uses 'natural' as an unambiguously positive quality is welcome to go consider historical infant mortality rates.
