“shit,” kuroo was panicking beside akaashi as they watched bokuto’s eyes turned, knowing vecna was getting to him. kenma was silent as he sat near bokuto, eyes wild as he tried to calm akaashi down with his warmth.
“shit, what was it they said that helps vecna’s victims?” kuroo asked, turning his eyes to tsukishima, who looked frazzled trying not to panic. hinata was already crying beside kenma and lev was so confused, fear noticeable in his eyes.
“music,” akaashi said, eyes blinking as he looked at bokuto who was still unresponsive. “his favorite song. we need him to hear his favorite song.”
there was silence.
a beat.
“what the hell is his favorite song?” they all opened spotify, trying to see and think of bokuto’s favorite song. tears pricked in akaashi's eyes. he can't be weak right now, bokuto needs him. he sniffled, trying to think of his favorite song, when kenma inhaled sharply and looked at kuroo.
"his spotify." kuroo scrambled to get bokuto's phone and logging in on a website which analyzes bokuto's top songs. they all wait in bated breath.
"fuck, faster!" kuroo cursed as they saw bokuto's body rise. they were atleast glad they put in on his airpods before, it's just the matter of finding the song.

"what?" tsukishima asked, in disbelief. akaashi looked at the phone, tears abruptly stopping. "are you fucking kidding me?"
"just play it." kenma said, eyebrows furrowed. "why is everyone so surprised."
kuroo laughed, his tears streaming down as he pressed play. they all screamed for bokuto, the song echoing in the gym. after a few moments, bokuto fell in akaashi and kuroo's arms, the airpods falling as well.
akaashi hugged bokuto, crying, as kuroo lightly slapped his arm. "dude, what the fuck."
they all hugged, with tsukishima and kenma getting pulled in as well. hinata described what happened to bokuto as lev nodded next to him.
