Total 2016 word count: 25635 which isn’t bad considering I didn’t even start writing fanfic of any sort until July.
Total 2016 AO3 hits: 2640
Kudos: 412 (highly inflated thanks to @spncoldesthits;
Comment threads: 120 (again, inflated comments due to coldest hits;
Total hits ever: 2640 (see, I really did start writing just this past July)
Links and Titles to 2016 Works: It’s all Supernatural and all canon!verse. I find a particular joy in trying to weave a story into existing canon.
The Misadventures of Growley and Squirrel (Best described as “we’ve done extraordinary things to triplets”)
On The Lemonade - pre-slash Demon!Dean/Crowley - 1780 words
Drinks and Small Talk - pre-slash Demon!Dean/Crowley - 3265 words
Measure Up - Demon!Dean/Crowley/triplets smut - 6118 words
Rub Down - Demon!Dean/Crowley/triplets smut - 5886 words
From Hell - gen. fic from the POV of Crowley’s hellhound, Juliet - 2450 words
The Real Blade Runners - Crowley & Juliet hunt for the First Blade - 4813 words
The Road So Far - Chuck takes a hard look at season 10 - 1323 words
Favorite Fic: That’s like telling a parent to choose their favourite child. I guess if I had to choose one, I’d have to go with On The Lemonade, only because it was my very first fic, so it holds a special place in my heart.
Hardest Fic: Rub Down, probably because I already had a clear idea of where I wanted my next fic to go, but I had to go through Rub Down to get there. I’m proud of it, but I didn’t enjoy writing it as much as the others. Thankfully, I can now enjoy reading it since I’m in the middle of writing the as-yet-unnamed part five.
Do You Plan to Take Prompts in 2017?
Gotta say, I’ve never filled a prompt. Probably because I don’t do AUs, and I’ve never really even done canon divergence. If anyone has an idea that could work within canon, I’d be willing to consider writing it.
What was the best thing about 2016?
Hmm... internet-wise it’d have to be that I started writing fanfic. Overall, the Spouse and I bought our first ever house, which (if I have my way) will be our forever home. Moving sucks, so I’d very much like to never do it again, but it was totally worth it.
What was the worst thing about 2016?
In the grand scheme of the world, so very many things went wrong. Far too many bad things to list, and all awful. Personally, my year wasn’t half bad. I guess having to move twice in one year and ending up with the neighbours from Hell living downstairs from us was the worst. I’m glad to be able to say the worst is behind me.
Any last thoughts for 2016?
I want to thank each and every person here who has encouraged me to keep writing. If I were to try to tag you all, I’d inevitably forget someone and then I’d feel awful, so... you know who you are. Every single person who told me to keep writing, who read my stuff and said something nice about it, who reassured me that spending an hour on a single sentence is still writing; thank you. Your words mean more to me than you’ll ever know.
This might be the only thing I’ve ever been tagged in that I didn’t feel the urge to sabotage. Don’t get used to it, I still don’t appreciate people telling me what to post, so future taggings will still fall victim to deliberate fuckery. As always, the buck stops here. I refuse to tag anyone, but if you write and haven’t been tagged yet and want to do this, consider yourself tagged. You can blame me if it makes you feel better.
