Guess who came back into work after eight months off! 😱 Polka's had quite the holiday this year... I turned him out at the end of march, almost a month before we went on our bucket list USA trip. Little accident prone me wasn't going to chance a fall and injury before going away! 😂 When we got home, our world got turned upside down for a few months with illness, redundancy, and a bunch of other things that all seemed to happen at once... It never rains - it pours! We landed back on our feet late in October, Tazzie arrived and took priority, and it's like I've blinked and Christmas is suddenly here. Where has the year gone?! 😳🙈 . There's still a few 2019 goals I wanted to tick off my list, and getting Polka in work was right up the top. Totally do-able with a whole month left of the year... Well, start-able, anyway! 💪😁 . I was a little bit nervous jumping back on after such a big break, but he was absolutely foot perfect. No buck, no stubbornness, just got on with it like a good guy. 🌟 Will get the physio out to give him a good once over before we progress into full work, but he felt really nice for a horse who's been out for this long!
