In the words of my best friend/girlfriend "Sometimes people go so far left they go right."
I think this heavily applies to when purists and antis say "If people romanticize non-con in dark romance, more people will start assaulting others in real life because of them."
This is just victim blaming.
The idea a book is what caused you to assault someone is no better of a statement than asking what someone was wearing when they got assaulted and then blaming them.
Any healthy person should be able to read a book and know it's not okay in real life because fiction isn't reality (which is extra weird when purists and antis say it is).
Not to mention, a lot of victims write these books. So, double blaming them because of what they wrote as a fictional fantasy instead of holding actual rapists accountable is NOT the leftist take you think it is.
It's just convervatism. Stop blaming fiction and writers for what real people do to others.
