This isn't a discourse/syscourse account but I want to say something: as a Traumagenic system myself...
you can't claim to be pro science and anti endo.
You cannot claim to respect science, all while disrespecting the scientific process and misinterpreting the entire point of science.
Lack of research does not make something fake. In order for something to be researched, it has to already exist. And if you are basing your hatred of endogenic systems off of the fact there is little research on it, you are being ableist. I have a very rare sleep disorder called Non 24 Sleep Wake Disorder. It is titled an orphan disorder, based on the fact that there is barely any research done on my disorder. Infact, there is more research out there for Endogenic systems, than there is of my diagnosed disorder.
The most important part to this, though: it is so clear that sysmeds do not understand what science is, despite claiming to be "pro science". You guys looovveee to say you love and respect science, but proceed to completely disrespect the scientific method. Science is **not** about proving the existence of something. All science is relative and subject to change. This is why if you look at a scientific book from a hundred years ago, very little of what was known back then would be true now. Science is about understanding. It's about gathering what we know currently, building a bunch of different hypotheses, and sticking with what makes most logical sense based off of current known facts.
If you truly respected science, you would also understand that science requires funding. Scientists aren't usually looking to study Endogenic systems because most Endogenic systems are not disordered enough to need that research. Research is focused on what is most important to actively study. And while Endogenic systems are fascinating from a psychological, medical, and neurologically stand point, there just isn't much of a reason to fund research on Endogenic systems since it could go to better things.
Lack of research doesn't mean that there is absolutely no research done on Endogenic systems. There is actually quite a bit. Here's a Google docs compilation I have found. Again, this is more research than my sleep disorder. So, if you want to deny Endogenic systems based off of lack of research, go ahead and deny my diagnosed disability.
Look,if you wanna peacefully call yourself anti endo because you don't want to interact with the community or whatever, you're fine. I don't care. Live your life. But, do not claim to be "pro science" when really every actual pro science person knows that you are pro "whatever makes me feel justified in my hate".
