Destigmatize

Hey all,

A few on here will probably already know that I've created a site in which I hope, is going to go a little ways to destigmatize mental illness, through sharing the stories of people who have lived with the conditions described.

It seems while some mental illnesses have become 'acceptable' others are still demonised to the point where there seems to be little or no information around for those diagnosed, isolating people further. I hope that if others start to read about the experiences so many have gone through, more awareness and understanding can be achieved; and stigmas such as - every person with schizophrenia is dangerous, or everyone diagnosed with ASPD is a serial killer waiting to happen, can FINALLY be forgotten.
