I don't know why contemporary writers are so deadset on giving Achilles mommy issues when Thetis is way more attentive and has a much more personal relationship with her son than the majority of divine parents to their half-mortal children. If you want a demigod homeric hero with an emotionally neglectful mother pushing him into a prophecy, Aeneas is RIGHT THERE-
