So, me and my boyfriend (in-sys) are getting married tomorrow.

The idea of two alters within one brain getting married and having a legit ceremony sounds so ludricous to singlets. It even sounds crazy to me, honestly. But the raw joy and excitement I feel as I make inspiration boards and playlists is very real, and I couldn't be happier.

We're having our head gatekeeper officiate. We picked bridesmaids and groomsmen. I drew us customized outfits for our big day. We're making it a big deal. It's probably going to be the fullest the front has been in a long time.

And again! This sounds. SO INSANE. To a normal person, right? Probably sounds insane to some systems, even. It's one thing to date your alters, but marry?? You gotta be pulling my leg.

But no. It's happening. Tomorrow, Yagami won't be my boyfriend/fiance. He'll be my husband. And It'll be the happiest day of my life ♡

Here is something that is so hard to achieve in just maladaptive daydreaming but really easy with a dissociative disorder (in my own experience):

When two alters in a system are dating or are otherwise really close, the feeling you get when you're both in the front, either hugging or snuggling or kissing or whatever, is unimaginable. You feel so completely...well, complete. I personally feel like warmth just envelopes me and I can sense my partner in every way: the way his lips feel on mine and how they taste, the feeling of his slightly coarse hair in my hands, the burning in my cheeks when I can see him staring at me.

Another giveaway is how sometimes, even when you're both really enjoying each other, one of us fades out of the front and you're suddenly left all alone again. I didn't decide for him to leave, I was really enjoying myself! But unlike daydreaming, it's not up to me; the dissociative barriers decide for me. That's a very important distinction.

Yet another glaring sign that I'm in fact actually a system and am definitely not "just daydreaming".

Advice/Help Needed: Alters Dating Outside People

I/We need advice. But First, some background information to help you guys better understand the situation: Through therapy our therapist said to get each alter to make a list of their needs/wants (the one's that can't write just said them and another wrote them down). After looking through the list, I've noticed a few of them want a romantic partner. At first I was worried because I have a male partner (basically a boyfriend but I don't like that term), but after discussing it we agreed that it was fine for them to date other people as long as, if their romantic partner was physically a male, no sexual activity would be involved. However if they where female sexual activity was fine as he's always been fine with Me also dating girls Myself (plus it's just rare that I like guys). Since most of My alters are either asexual or lesbian this doesn't seem to be a problem. Now what I need advice on: How would they go about finding partners? Some have expressed intrust in dating sites, but would that be a bad idea? How would they explain that they are an alter in a DID-system without sounding too strange? We kinda just have No idea how to go about the whole alters dating thing so ANY advice, tips, etc. Would be greatly appreciate.
