Fun morning out at #rovingsummits 2, Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve. Conditions & a moving fire line from the Du Toits Kloof fire we weren’t sure of, made the group decide to only tag Perdekop, and not Du Toits Kop too. Well most of the group, not if your Johardt van Heerden and it’s your 1st outing in Mont Rochelle. 🙈 Super windy with a windchill factor of - kakkoud on the peak, made for an interesting day out! I got into a fight with a fire hydrant on my National Running day, run. I consider it a draw! YES, I’m going to have a big bruise tomorrow but it happened at Mile 1.96 and limped out a total of 7 miles. So clearly it was hydrant = 1 Me = 1 AND I landed in the road but narrowly missed being squashed by a car. I’m sure it’ll be black and blue tomorrow and I won’t be able to run.
