Jaune and Weiss have started dating recently and have started performing couple rituals, gradually advancing from smiles and holding hands to hugs and piggy backs. And now the next step was something even more intimate, kissing. Both were eager to try kissing, but both realized that they had never kissed before and were clueless where to start. Still, that didn't stop them from trying. And that's why they were now standing in a private place, in front of each other.
J: "So, when do we lean to kiss?"
W: "I do not know. Do I need put my hands on your face to pull you down? Do I hold you by the neck? Or lower?"
J: "No clue. Hey, Weiss. Is this okay or should I go a little lower?"
W: "I think... lower? You are tall and I want to kiss you. Do I close my eyes now or do I look into yours?"
J: "Maybe? I've seen my sisters bring their lovers home at times. They just closed their eyes at the same time. Somehow."
W: "Did they share some secret signal or something? How would you know when to synchronize your actions?"
J: "We could try counting to 5 and then just going for it."
W: "Okay, let's try that."
W: "Wait. This doesn't seem right. We are supposed to be lost into each other's love and have a moment, as they say. If we count... it only makes me more nervous."
J: "Oh, yeah. What if we count in our heads?"
W: "I suppose that would be better..."
J: "Okay. Let's do this."
Moments later, Jaune began leaning forward.
J: "What? What happened?"
W: "I didn't reach '5'. You counted too fast, you dunce! I wasn't ready!"
J: "Oh. Sorry. Should we try again?"
W: "No. This... whatever we're doing, doesn't feel right. Is this really how couples kiss?"
J: "I don't know. You're my first girlfriend."
W: "I suppose we'll have to keep trying then..."
J: "I guess... hey, Weiss?"
J: "I'm going to kiss you now."
Abruptly, Jaune leaned and captured her lips with his, surprising her for a brief moment before she succumbed to the kiss herself. It only lasted a few seconds before they separated.
W: "That was nice, but you could have given me more of a warning."
J: "Sorry. I guess I'm not that good at this."
W: "Hmm, clearly. Which is why we'll keep practicing. Now, lean down again..."
This time it was Weiss that kissed him.
