So I know there's been quite a few asks about them dating, but what about Kenny and Tweek just being friends? Or hanging out? Or interacting in any way, really?

No, but seriously. I would love to see more platonic Twenny. I think they’d have a really interesting friend dynamic, and I’m all for giving Tweek as many friends as possible. Honestly, I can see them bonding over the fact that their lives are pretty much out of their immediate control—at least until they’re eighteen or old enough to stand a decent shot at emancipation. Kenny works his ass off to make his current living conditions bearable (for Karen if not himself) but escaping poverty is an uphill battle that takes years to achieve, and that’s if you’re lucky. Tweek works his ass off not because he wants to, but because he’s not really given any other choice. Honestly, being outed as gay and actively dating Craig has offered him the most freedom he’s had in his entire life and it shows.
Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I think a solid friendship between these two would be good for both of them. Kenny’s struck me as developing a slightly apathetic streak in recent seasons, which makes sense. The kid’s poor as hell and dies on the regular; that sort of thing really has to wear on a person eventually. And on the flip side, Tweek’s living standards seem to actually be improving. He seems to be a much stronger personality in The Fractured But Whole than he did in The Stick of Truth, and seems to have way more free time to play than he did before. His circle of friends seems to be expanding while Kenny’s seems to be shrinking.
The inverse parallels are pretty interesting. I think that, now that the initial dynamics amongst the kids are starting to change, a friendship between Tweek and Kenny could be amazing. We’ve already gotten a few minor hints of it happening in canon already, most obviously the fact that when Tweek and Craig were off hunting down Garrison IT-style, the McCormicks were the first ones the Tuckers thought to ask if they’d seen either of them. Which, to me, pretty much confirms a canon friendship between Tweek and Kenny.
I’m one step closer to canon Blonde Squad, guys.
I actually plan on having a Twenny friendship in The Long Road Ahead, once I can get back to it.
