I have been in a book slump for the past week, and need some recommendations. Does anyone know any good YA fantasy or sci-fi? If you do, please put them in the comments! :)

I read the first book in Sarah j mass’s crescent city book series house of earth and blood when it first came out and didn’t like it much. But in all honesty I wasn’t in a great headspace and was struggling to mentally focus on the book. I just about got it read but I didn’t absorb it! So with her next book in the series house of sky and breath coming in a few weeks I have decided to borrow the audiobook from the library and listen to it and give it a fair chance. I won’t have time to read the book so I’ll listen to the audiobook to be ready in time.

Has anyone else given it a second chance?

. Hari ini di penghujung tahun 2020 yg penuh badai Corona yg sampai sekarang masih trending. Dimulai dari PSBB, WFH, wajib masker dan cuci tangan, tapi sekarang malah muncul mutasi corona yg lebih cepat lagi menyebar. Stay safe, stay healthy ya teman-teman. . Tahun ini sbg bookstagram di IG, sangat merosot dan terlihat di #bestnine2020 ini. Saya akui tahun ini luar biasa malas dan pusing dgn ide-ide utk memfoto buku secara artistik. Salut saya pd para bookstagrammer yg masih bisa foto cantik dan aktif. Untungnya masih diimbangi gak sampai #bookslump reading, momok para pembaca buku yg aktif. Tahun ini jumlah buku dan pages yg saya baca meningkat sedikit dibandingkan thn 2019. Bukan bermaksud sombong, saya sudah berhasil mempertahankan baca >200 buku sejak 2017-2020. Walau masih punya keinginan dan harapan tahun depan masih bisa baca buku sebanyak itu, seperti biasa saya lebih suka pasang target pesimistik duluan aja. Saya lebih suka melihat grafik bar Goodreads saya yg spt gedung-gedung pencakar langit (emang lebay sih imajinasi saya, abaikan saja) drpd buat jurnal TBR dsb. . Dan yg lebih sulit drpd diatas adalah mengerem nafsu belanja buku. Beneran susah sekali scr saya merasa berhak membelanjakan uang utk invest buku krn saya gak punya hobi lain yg menguras dompet saya. Tahun ini saya membeli 149 buku dan mendapatkan 20 buku dari teman/giveaway. Itu pun budget beli buku naik hampir 1 juta dibandingkan tahun 2019. Ini jadi kendala bagi saya utk mengurangi timbunan buku. Jadi resolusi 2021 adalah lebih selektif lagi dlm membeli buku dan lebih banyak membaca buku-buku bagus. Despite my current announcement to participate in #jenkinsjuly I am sadly in a bookslump and decided to postpone my supposedly first Jenkins book, Indigo. I was so excited but I did not want to force reading and then hate the book just because I did not feel like my previous reader self. Anyway, I am I'll go my way picking the book up the next few weeks(still July) and hope to cure this book slump with a few good movies to rewatch.
