This tasty and speedy teriyaki shrimp and broccoli stir fry is ideal for a hectic weeknight meal. It's a crowd-pleaser when crisp broccoli, tender shrimp, and flavorful teriyaki sauce are combined. In just 30 minutes, it will be ready!
Ingredients: 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined. 2 cups broccoli florets. 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon ginger, grated. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. 1 tablespoon cornstarch. 2 tablespoons water. Cooked rice, for serving. Sesame seeds, for garnish optional. Green onions, chopped, for garnish optional.
Instructions: Make a slurry by combining the cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Put it away. In a big skillet or wok, heat up one tablespoon of vegetable oil on medium-high heat. When the shrimp are pink and opaque, add them to the skillet and stir-fry them for two to three minutes. The shrimp should be taken out of the skillet and placed aside. Add the final tablespoon of vegetable oil to the same skillet. Add the grated ginger and minced garlic. Stir-fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds. When the broccoli florets are tender-crisp, add them to the skillet and stir-fry for three to four minutes. Add the cooked shrimp and broccoli back to the skillet. Add the teriyaki sauce and toss to evenly coat the broccoli and shrimp. Pour the cornstarch slurry into the skillet after giving it one more stir. It should take a minute or two to thicken the sauce, so keep stirring. Over cooked rice, serve the hot stir-fried broccoli and shrimp with teriyaki sauce. If desired, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Savor your mouthwatering stir-fried shrimp and broccoli prepared at home!
