You ever think about a comic book and go "What wasted potential?"
Like. The 2003 TT run is fine, but because it got rid of/ignored most of the previous histories and personalities for the YJ characters it missed really fun dynamics.
Like. Beast Boy and Superboy are both quippy arrogant young heroes who like to be in the spotlight and absolutely nothing is done with that. Like Beast Boy as a mentor and a rival for Superboy could be incredibly interesting.
But also like... Starfire mentoring young punk teen Cassie Sandmark, teaching her the ways of the Warlords of Okaara and Cassie learning to become a better leader under that mentorship and to have better trust in herself would've been cool also exploring Starfire's grief over the death of her best friend through the mentoring of the person wearing that friends costume?
Could've sat back and explored the concept of Bart being the opposite of Wally in a lot of ways. Bart fully devoting himself to Superheroing over his normal life without question in an unhealthy way which all the older TT remember as a contrast to Wally who was hesitant to do Superheroics.
Could've explored the idea that the NTT see these similarities and are clearly working to try and protect these kids from making the same mistakes they did, which hurt a lot of them.
