Request: Alfred takes a sick day leaving Bruce in charge of the kids and breakfast.

“Oh god, what is this?” Damian asked you in a whisper.

You looked down at the still raw and runny eggs. 

“Breakfast,” You replied back. 

“Am I supposed to eat it?” Damian asked. 

“We can’t hurt his feelings,” You said. 

“The hell we can’t,” Jason growled. 

“Dude, stop sniff- ah crap here he comes! Eat!” Dick urged. 

“Oh wow, so good,” Tim lied as he scooped up the raw eggs. 

“Yeah, I choose life, bye,” Jason scoffed before abandoning his untouched breakfast. 

Bruce looks at the rest of you. 

“What’s wrong with it?” Bruce asked. 

The three boys looked at you. 

“Well, um, for starters the eggs aren’t cooked,” You said. 

“And?” Bruce asked. 

“You burnt the toast,” Tim added. 

“The pancakes are lumpy,” Dick said. 

“My bacon is still oinking,” Damian finished up.

Bruce swore. 

“Don’t worry dad, we’ll just settle for cereal,” Tim said patting his dad on the back. 

“Yeah, cereal is just as good,” Dick reassured him. 

“I’m going back to bed. I quit,” Bruce said before turning and leaving you alone. 

Once the kitchen was clear of Bruce the four of you started to laugh. 

“Poor Bruce,” You chuckled. 

“Poor Bruce? What about poor us? If we would have eaten that I’m sure we all would have died,” Dick exclaimed. 

“Don’t be so dramatic,” You said. 

Tim rolled his eyes as he shoved a handful of Fruity Pebbles into his mouth. 

“Just be glad he didn’t ask Selina to cook,” Dick said. 

“I heard that!” Selina shouted from the living room. 

Dick cringed. “Oops,”

“Eat your cereal and then you can help me clean up this mess,” You said handing the milk over to Damian. 

Looking at the mess Bruce made you only shook your head. Eggs aren’t that hard to make so you couldn’t possibly understand why Bruce struggled so hard.
