What makes this worse (or better, depending on your point of view) is that this is such a HUMAN mistake to make.

Chopper probably can’t read at this point, he’s just gone with the pictures. And Hiruluk never explained about the use of medical symbols, just the allegory of the skull and crossbones as something that can overcome everything. Nothing about the more worldly “symbol of death”-stuff.

It’s a small child who’s misunderstood grownups talking about ‘a cold person’ and thinking that they’re wearing too little clothing. But on a much harsher scale.

Why is Snake Hidden?

So I was taking screen shots of Bard and found this panel from ch 144.

I thought it was funny, then interesting that Snake is almost entirely obscured from the shot. True, he’s not one of the original servants, but Yana could have drawn him in better view, but she didn’t.

With all the speculation going on about whether Snake will ultimately side with our Ciel or not, and if he’ll find out about what happened to the circus, this panel made me pause.

Could it be a clue indicating that he does find out and thus will no longer be on the same side as Bard, Mey Rin, and Finny??

Or even that Finny kills him, so he will literally be out of the picture ?

It will be quite a while, most likely, maybe a year or more before we’ll find the answer to this question, but it’s definitely something to think about.
