I am once again thinking about whether the Amara storyline was real, & how it's much more likely Chuck was never actually in danger, just wanted to be a self insert in his story along Sam and Dean again.
How Chuck lied and said it was beyond his power to bring Gabriel or Michael back, but Michael was in the cage without lucifer and Gabriel was alive.
All following Chuck's gaslight: "‘I know you had a complicated upbringing, Dean, but don't confuse me with your dad"
A journey into God’s mind
Chuck’s motivation in obsessively writing the same end - is what has been on my mind in quite a while. So far he is a megalomaniac villain with no proper cause. And for the love of everything a villain without a motive is of not interest to me.
As a long time fanfic writer I don’t understand Chuck’s bullheaded insistence with “brother killing brother” and end-of-the-world themes. When my characters happen to say a resound “NO!” to what my sick brain is cooking, I listen to them, this is my subconscious letting me know that I’m about to make a really wrong move. And then I do my best to find a solution, which may be not necessary as dramatic, but nevertheless satisfying.
So I said to myself: “Let’s find us a motive!” and embarked on a journey.
So basically to understand my theory of Chuck’s obsession first I have to explain a bit about the particular bit of “Lucifer” TV show which gave me an idea. I doubt many people don’t know this show, but just in case, bear with me. It’s a show dealing with Biblical lore and main character is the Lucifer himself (although much less boring, than in SPN). He is funny, adorable and with a bucket full of issues. And yes, he also can be terrifying!
Saileen: the new toy for Chuck
And about how TFW are winning some powerful allies...
Saileen meta. Castiel meta. TFW meta. Chuck meta. 15x08 meta. Our Father Who aren't in Heaven.
Hi my friends! This is my second meta from this epic episode. If you want to read my first meta, the Destiel one, is right here.
Okay, let's start this...
Cas...? Better out!
Okay, did you noticed at the beginning of the episode? We know now Chuck is afraid to something, and that's "his crack", this mention of a crack just recalled me that Cas has a crack in his chasis, si we just need to make the connections to who Chuck fears of...
Okay... This was very visual...
Thanks @agusvedder for all this gifs!! You're amazing!
Okay... Watch this... Whatch how Chuck threw that blue little umbrella that was on top of his drink away from him, with disgust. Like. This no. He doesn't want that blue umbrella there, bothering him while he wants drinking his YELLOW AND RED drink.
You know me... Blue/Cas... Yellow/Sam and Red/toxic Dean.
So evidently, Chuck doesn't want Castiel to be around his plans, because as I said in this meta, he changes the script.
See what Cas had just did... He recruited Michael against him!
And Chuck is out of control, he killing everyone, he's mad and bored.
Then there was that moment when he literally heard the whole intent to read the demon tablet to defeat him.
So, Donnatello is a kind of... Connection between the Divine, the dimensions, and humanity. So, why don't to use him as if he were a hidden mic or something? Then why not to talk through that mic? You know how Donnie is an entire celestial communication technology, right? @emblue-sparks marked this too.
And so clever and thanks Metatron, the one who knew how God worked, he knew God's weakness, and God's madness maybe too... He wrote a few editor's notes, just in case God will go to the bad side...
And the good news are... @weirddorkylittlediana you were right. My friend said to me that episode 14x15 Peace of mind, could be a forshadow of how they could defeat Chuck, by lock-in him out in his own mind.
And now we had the premise from Donatello reading the demon tablet and Michael, God can be locked.
Son.. I think we have the spell... The archangel... We just need a god as powerful as God to do this... Oh! Hello Amara!
I'm just seeing Chuck will be defeated soon I'm next half and then we will have the whole Empty plot in which I expect Dean will rescue Cas. I hope so.
I'm just so curious about God's fears... Is it Cas? Is it Free Will? Is it Amara? Or being locked down for eternity?
If they locked God in his own mind, in his own fake happiness, like Peace of Mind showed us, then..m we could call that an Emotional Prison. Right? I love how every Meta I wrote is confluencing now in this season... *Cries in enochian*.
Your Father, not mine
And this is why I say, Chuck is afraid of Cas.
When Castiel decided to pray to Michael. By the way, it could be taken as a foreshadow for Dean's prayers too, the scene was careful shot so we can see Cas through a circle, as if we were spying him...
Is not us, but Chuck, who's spying what Cas is saying. And also... It was a lot of this kind of shot made by the camera in season 12, 13 and 14. But if you recall in season 12, we had this scene...
So I truly believe Chuck was spotted here too... Spying at these two.
But let's come back to Cas and his prayers...
(thank you Agus for all these gifs!)
Castiel is repeating TWICE: YOUR FATHER, YOUR FATHER. This was very huge, because... Castiel is not recognizing Chuck as his father anymore. He's not. Because he's evil. And he lied. And he's a monster.
But Michael, he knows Michael doesn't know all of this, and because Michael was always the Righteous Son, the favorite, he know he won't do nothing against his father. Because he's the obedient one. So Cas knows he has to dig slowly to get Michael as an ally.
Castiel tries to connect with h, to empathize, talking about Michael's being locked on that cage, talking about heaven, saying he's not his enemy, but Chuck.
Finally, Michael goes to him, and it was very interesting to watch Adam and Michael dynamic. They were friends, partners. Even Adam sounded like Michael's conscience. Trying to make him see the Winchesters's intentions. This reminded me to 12x19: when Castiel talked about Benjamin and his vessel, and how bonded they were, they were more than friends. So, this look similar, is like two persons living in harmony inside of one vessel.
So Adam, acting like Michael's conscience, is trying to show him fathers can make mistakes...
Castiel, the rebellious son, will try to convince him, but now, Adam, is trying to show him he can be a rebellious son too. Just like Dean did with CAS in 4x22.
How the thing ends, and I don't think Chuck likes this or wrote this or expected this... But Castiel prayed to Michael, he brought him to the Winchesters. He talked with him and he showed him the truth. So... Is Chuck afraid of Cas? I truly believe he is more afraid of FREE WILL. And the Winchesters have now this powerful ally from Heaven
Michael, who said that FREE WILL IS AN ILLUSION, is trying to use some now.
Saileen is the new interest of Chuck
I really love seeing Sam worried about Eileen, running after her to help her, and Saileen saying he is overprotective. Gah!!! Amazing! Really...
They are a power couple of strong hunter's, and watching them going that path it makes me happy. Settled down with a hunter. This is how it should be.
I really screamed when I saw Rowena like the Queen of Hell. He wanted the throne and she took it. Because like we were talking with @legendary-destiel , if you want something, you take it, right? Cut frame to CAS. 🤣🤣
But well. The Winchesters had an ally in Hell, a very powerful and Beautiful ally. So, everytime they were asking for something or explaining something bro her, Rowena looked immediately at Sam. She needed his confirmation, because she trusts him, blindly.
And it was hilarious how she asked Sam to fill her glass with whiskey, and they caressed their hands... Okay this one , the healing hand, and the hand by hand side during the spell... Is talking about foreshadow too for our Destiel holding hands... Oh... Where was I? Oh! Right!
So, Chuck named Jody, Donna, and Eileen when he was asking them to drop it, threatening TFW, and then he focused on Eileen. Because they didn't drop it.
He dragged Eileen and consequently, as he knew, Sam with her to his hands. He needs them. He needs them to his purpose, he knows now Eileen is Sam new weakness.
And we are seeing how the toxic codependency between the brothers is dying slowly, just like @espejonight28738 said in her meta. Go to read it here.
To Conclude
This episode showed us how TFW is winning allies in Hell and Heaven to defeat God, they tried the same in season 11 finale episode, using angels, demons and witches.
Castiel is the one who track Michael down and convince him to fight by their side showing him the truth.
Michael, who had said Free Will is an illusion, is experiencing now what free will means.
The dynamic between Adam (vessel) and Michael (Archangel) was very enlightening to understand how two friends can share a vessel. (Calling here @emblue-sparks who wrote a series of metas about this spec).
Saileen is the example of what settled down with a hunter means, is a reflection of what Destiel should ended.
Chuck has a crack in his chasis and is fear, maybe, I suspect, to free will, things that he can't write. Example: Castiel.
I hope you like this meta! See you in my Narrative Meta!

15×10 meta "I don't know what is god and what's not..."
But maybe now we do. Kind of, anyway.
Warning: Destiel and Saileen positive. And somehow this ended up with a lot of Charlie, not that I think anyone will complain about that.
I've been thinking about this since Thursday. Like, one one hand, Dean's "The blood, the sweat, the tears, man. That's us." Was beautiful, specially if we take into account that a few episodes ago he still was all "I don't know what is God and what's not, and it's driving me crazy."
So I rewatched the entire season (that's why only now I have this) and now I will say what is God and what's not.
(I mean, kind of, I think we will never know the true extent of Chuck's manipulation to avoid even more plot holes XD)
So, first:
Mayor plots we know (or I think) were Chuck's:
The first Apocalypse (Duh)
• Leviathans (I say this bc in one of Chuck's memories, Benny was in the bunker with Dean. Benny means Purgatory, and Purgatory means Leviathans. If the Leviathan are a constant, they probably are part of Chuck's plan.)
• The Mark of Cain (We've seen it like a million times, clearly that's a plot he likes)
• Probably the MoL because it was so bad
The ones we don't know:
• Amara (Like, I do think he didn't expect they would break the curse)
• Jack (I mean, he probably was the culprit Jack died after Micheal took his grace, and that's the reason he ended up soulless. But his actual birth? Idk)
• (Btw I say Chuck's the culprit because I don't understand why Cas would just become human when Metatron took his grace in s8, specially considering que was 100% angel, and he didn't even had a “soulless” problem... I don't know what happened there tbh, he should be kinda soulless? Or whatever. My point is that if an angel 100% can survive having his grace taken, I don't see why a Nephilim (50/50%) would die.)
• Probably AU!Micheal was not part of the plan, because he straight up told them they were just failed drafts. Besides, it was a direct consequence of Jack's birth, and I don't think Jack was part of the plan.
I was about to publish this, but now I have another one. How much of what happens in Heaven is Chuck? Like, we know he doesn't really care for the angels (Ask AU!Micheal), and the main characters are just Dean and Sam. But in this universe, because of Cas, both brothers have been closely related to whatever happens in Heaven. Does that mean Chuck has to intervene there so they don't ruin the story? Probably yes. Honestly I'm dying to know what happened in Heaven with Cas during 15×10 I NEED ANSWERS ABOUT THE ANGELS.
Things that Chuck can't do:
• Like, make someone do anything they don't want in a "mind control" kind of way. He can physically do people do things, like Eileen hurting Sam, but he can't control their mind. If he could, Dean would have killed Jack and nothing of this would be happening in the first place. Individual choices and actions are out of his control.
• He doesn't have power over the Empty, and doesn't know what's happening there. (That means there's no true omniciense)
• (The last point raises the question of how did he brought Cas back so many times. Or Lilith. I'll chose to believe those are continuity mistakes and not that, idk, this Cas is an exact copy of the original Cas and even him doesn't know he's a copy or smth.)
Things that we can deduce are, to certain degree, Chuck's fault.
• Cas constant unjustified absences (This we can assume for 1: "No one even mentions Cas" from Becky about Chuck's writing, and 2: In all the AU we saw as Chuck memories, Cas is never there. Not even mentioned.)
• [Related to the previous point, I think that considering that Cas was in none of Chuck's memories, we must take the fact that he was in almost all the PossibleFuture!scenes (first he was there, then in the car he is mentioned by Sam and Dean, the we had the "Ever since the Mark made Cas go crazy? Ever since I had to bury him in a Ma'lak box?" moment, the next one we can see Dean moving his mouth before getting interrupted by Sam. Considering it was placed next to the prayer scene, we can deduce Dean was praying to Cas. That give us Cas in 4/6 Future moments.) as a sign that this Cas is different to the one in other universes. Maybe our theory that our Cas will be the key to Free Will, as he is special in some way in this universe in a way he isn't in others, will come true.]
• [Although then we need to ask why did Chuck let him live, if he interferes with the narrative]
• Soulless!Jack and Mary's death [Explained before]
• Actually, is possible that most deaths are Chuck's plot.
But in the more particular events, where is Chuck?
In this episode, we got confirmation that the popular headcanon of Charlie making the boys fake credit cards is canon. This ability to have money all the time is important for them not to waste time doing things that 'doesn't help move the plot along' as Garth said.
That could mean that one of the intentions behind Charlie's introduction was exactly that, solve a problem.
And if you think more, Charlie was introduced in a perfect moment and being the perfect character for the job.
Like, we met her when Cas was still crazy, and Dean hadn't really forgiven him, so he kinda was out of a best friend. Enters Charlie, a badass, geeky, nerdy and really cheerful girl. Literally, perfect bff material for Dean. And to make it even better, she was a lesbian, so that automatically cancels any possible sexual/romantic tension that Dean compulsively had with pretty much any female character back then.
[And if I'm right about Chuck not planning Amara's freedom, then Charlie's individual acts of 1: Getting the Book of the Damned and 2: Decodifying it were probably the reason Chuck decided it was her time. Besides, her death pushed Dean to the edge with the Mark.]
All that convenience makes me believe that the people they know do are part of a pre-made plot, but only the meeting. They are only put on the Winchester's way. If we can take something from last episode is that even without their abilities and plot armor, they still have their friends. The relationships they've built are their strength, they are something almost sacred that Chuck can't touch. (As I said, he can't control minds, nor can he control feelings.)
Would you look at that, it looks like Castiel "And maybe Chuck designed the obstacles, but we ran our own race. We made our own move" Winchester (My soul won't rest until someone recognize Cas in the show as a Winchester) was right all along. Shocked.
So, once again, we have everything telling us the most important thing the brothers have is the other people that they love. That is theirs, that is real.
And I also think is important they got that lesson without Eileen and Cas. Because those are the people they love the most (besides each other), yes, but they also are the ones that Chuck have used against them.
Dean's history with Cas has been part of the story, so it was logical that in the middle of his existential crisis, he doubted of their relationship.
And now Sam has confirmation that it's thanks to Chuck that Eileen is back.
Both relationships could feel a little tainted.
With them, it would be more difficult to put aside their doubts. But with good old Garth? He wasn't even in the Possible Future. He's as much as a comfort character as you can get for Dean and Sam. Looking at him all happy and domestic, and yet being by their side when they can't do anything be themselves is exactly what they needed to move their friends and family to the "Non-Chuck tricks" list.
And a little note:
I don't think they just lost their "plot armor", I think Chuck purposely made them average humans. But without Chuck, they wouldn't be average. Dean's been trained to be a soldier since he was 4 years, and maybe Sam had a little bit more of a childhood thanks to Dean, but still he was trained since he was a kid.
And you tell me they can't pick a lock without Chuck's powers? That Sam just runs against everything and falls? Those are things any of us would do, not someone who has been training 30 years more or less.
So no, I do not think they would (will?) be like this when they beat Chuck. Yes, maybe they will be intolerant to lactose, and have cavities and that stuff, but they are still trained, that doesn't just go away.
[BTW I realize half this meta was in parenthesis. Sorry about that.]

Chuck versus the Pilot (A meta of sorts)
Chuck has 2 scenes in which he meets potential love interests in the pilot:
a group of women is thrust upon Chuck at his birthday party
Chuck meets Sarah
How did the crew use cinematography, editing, blocking, etc in order to show Chuck’s lack of confidence especially around women and establish his character’s status quo? How did they differentiate these scenes so that subconsciously the audience would grasp right away that he would ultimately find all he needed with Sarah rather than with these other women?
Find out after the
my thoughts on how chuck became god
(this nights be old news for you but i still wanna post it)
chuck was a prophet and a writer. the guy we meet in s4 and 5. just a guy.
god, as of kripke era, was absent, but was never said to be walking the earth.
in ep 5x22 there is an end and a new start. chuck has a somewhat important role in it, as well as protagonizes a plot twist that indicates he is god.
considering the god/chuck we follow on dabb era, i wouldn't say it's strange to believe that a) chuck was a regular prophet 2) god planned on sam and dean's story ending in 5x22, but changed his mind, extending the story and finding a way to self insert and 3) what better way to self insert than to become the writer (taking over chuck's life)
Draft after Draft after Draft
The End that Chuck wants
Supernatural meta. TFW meta. Dean and Sam meta.
15x05 meta. Proverbs 17:3
Hi my friends, as I said in my Destiel and Dean meta here, we had a very important episode when things had been revealed.
Let's start then...
Sam's Dreams are Chuck's writing drafts
@jenabean75 had pointed in this post here this idea about Sammy dreaming Chuck's writing. And my husband had told me the same when we watched episode 15x04...
We had a lot of posibles endings by now, even if we're talking about DemonBlood!Sam, Demon! Dean or Samifer... The ending is always one brother killing the other, and Bec now we know Chuck is obsessed with Dean, he will try to write an horrendous ending, and make Dean to cry bloody tears.
The Wincest mirror, the two brothers with pathologic codependency, and Wincest behavior, gave us the clue to figure out what Chuck was trying to get: a dramatic ending with one brother killing the other and then killing himself. Because, obviously, if they're embedded in this pathologic Codependency, one can't live with the other.
And one killing his big brother, calling him a monster, was mirroring each ending we had seen through Sammy's nightmare/visions.
Visual Narrative in the Wincest Cabin
Just a little comment about what i saw, I will be writing a better appreciation of the visual Narrative once I can get the pics and gifs, but if you noticed, there was bears and mooses all over the room. Representing Dean and Sam. The forced story and bad ending is showed too through the visual narrative. Chuck want to talk about Dean and Sam. Sam and Dean and how they're going to kill each other in his dramatic ending. There's not hint of CAS in the cabin, and the only one, that blue mirror I pointed in my Destiel meta with a heart, is outside the cabin. So Chuck wants them together and suffering.
Lilith working for Chuck
Lilith is a recall to season 4, she mentioned the Winchester ruined her plans of bringing the Apocalypse, but she forgot to mention who made that possible, and who wasn't supposed to be in that story...
It was Cas by deciding to fall for Dean Winchester and block the Apocalypse.
So, Chuck brings back Lilith, let's rewrite this, but this time without Castiel. This time Chuck's needs to have his perfect ending. His perfect Apocalypse.
Dean sacrificing himself again for Sam
And this is the never-ending story, my friends, again Dean trying to protect his little brother, trying to separate him from Lilith.
Sam using the knife that kills demons (because his past related him to it) and Dean using his angelic blade (because his past related him to it.
When Lilith talks in the car about what Chuck is doing, she reveals he's obsessed with Dean, and he talks about foreshadows.
This drives us to the end of the episode, when Sam tells Dean about his dreams and the connection through the bullet wound. But this connection could be a benefit or could be perjury, because if Sam knows what Chuck is doing, then Chuck knows what Sam is doing...
When Lilith grabbed the equalizer, she destroys it, and that made me remember to the scene in which Female! AUMichael destroyed that weapon from the BMOL in front of Sam. Foreshadow! Like Lilith said.
Cas is not responding
At the beginning of the episode we had Sam checking his messages, and the doubt is, is Dean's phone or is Sammy's phone?
Is Sammy's phone, because he wouldn't spy his brother, he's not suspecting nothing weird. And Castiel is Sammy's best friend, so he's worried he is not answering, and I think... Dean didn't tell him why Cas isn't answering, he even asks at the end of the episode of Sam could contact him, I mean... He's hiding the fact that he pushed aways Castiel. And Sam is just trying to talk with Castiel. He's part of the team, and he will be helpful. Dean please... Tell your brother the truth.
Sammy wants to fight God
Another thing I noticed is that Sam wants to fight God, he's like this people, he just... Don't quit, you know? He's Sammy fucking Winchester...
He shot God! And now he wants to fight him!
But Dean is doubtful about it... He feels trapped on the maze. So I really need Dean expressing everything he has inside to his brother and Cas soon. Is exasperating!
As I said in my first meta, Dean is upgrading but he needs to interiorizing, because I heard him saying WE ARE THE SAME! NOTHING HAD CHANGED! And that's AVOIDING!DEAN that's not what we want. He needs to heal again.
To Conclude
This episode revealed how Sam and Chuck are connected through the bullet wound, and Sam's visions/dreams are a reflection of Chuck's horrible endings.
Lilith is a recall to the Apocalypse that couldn't be... Is like Chuck trying to use it again, but this time without the surprise element (Castiel).
The whole episode was a reference to Wincest and Pathologic Codependency, with the Wincest mirror and visual Narrative symbolizing Dean and Sam.
I hope you like this! See you in the next one!
