How would you change queen of the dreadzone ?

Honestly have it be an episode focusing on Marc or Felix. Felix is in Paris anyway so do something with that. Maybe have him properly atone for his actions in season 4 and 5. However if we keep focus on the same characters and the same overarching plot - here are some changes I would do ( not set in stone and can be changed later).

Have Andre be with Zoe when the helicopter flew outside their apartment. Why wasn't Andre in the episode at all ? Have Andre look unfazed which Zoe side eyes. No guilt or accountability whatsoever

Have somebody criticise Andre for being a terrible father and making Chloe the way she is. It should be Sublime to say this since in the actual episode it was her to ask who Chloe was. Maybe after having Ivan say the adults were scared of her and Zoe saying " However Dre Dre bravely stood up to Chloe and saved Paris by sending her to live with my mother", Sublime replies " But he was the one who raised her to be a brat, as mayor was it he that allowed her to get away with her actions ?, he isn't blameless. " NOT saying Sublime should defend Chloe , Chloe is a bad person who Sublime would hate but it would be interesting if one character brings this up. Maybe after Sublime criticising Andre causes Zoe to question her step-father and his parenting skills.

Less focus on Marinette. I love my girl but her confronting Chloe felt like a repeat of Revolution. Her ending her bully in Revolution was more satisfying because she was at a low point so when Chloe tries to bully her again , you'd expect her give up and let it happen but no she finds all the courage and strength to put Chloe in her place. Her confrontation in QOTD wasn't as impactful. This episode was a daddycop sequel so Sabrina and Zoe should be the main focus

Have Adrien replace Marinette in the one accompanying Zoe and Sabrina to meet Chloe. He was her childhood friend after all. Have him confront Chloe and Chloe belittles him about his father which causes Adrien to doubt his father was a hero. Maybe have him mention the brooch Sabrina is wearing was also his mother brooch.

Zoe properly interacts with Audrey and Noe. Zoe acts rebellious and stands up to Audrey when she belittles her. Maybe she and Noe knew of each other and he is fake nice to her an she isn't buying any of it.

When Chloe's plan fails , have Chloe's mum scold her saying she isn't as exceptional as her brother while he quietly laughs along. This makes her more angry and more vulnerable to akumatization.

Only have LB and CN fight queen of the dreadzone and Fury shows up univitied and they make a temporary alliance to fight her. Fury kicks ass and defeats Queen of the dreadzone. Miss Hound didn't have to be there , not all holder characters who appear have to transform and fight.

Small worldbuilding moment where LB see what life would be like for her if the truth about monarch got out. Chloe has lots of fans in Paris but their are bound to be some people who don't like her for what she did in revolution and allying with monarch. Maybe a small group of people in the audience during her return booing at her calling her an accomplice. Have her be refused entry to a restaurant because of this. Marinette see's this and thinks if Adrien learnt the truth or word got out about Gabe being monarch , people will blame LB calling her his accomplice for covering up the truth . She will also get hate.

Overall these are some changes I will make Feel free to add your ideas in the comments below.

I’m genuinely surprised that it took people five seasons to realize that Stranger Things was not going to land the finale. The signs were all there:

1) S1 was meant to be a one-off and the show was supposed to be an anthology

2) The Duffer Bros’ explanation for why the Soviets were added to season 3 was basically, “Oh, it’s the 1980s and the Russians were the bad guys in everything, therefore they needed to be in the show”. No logic, no reasoning in the storyline…just running purely on nods to pop culture.

3) Even after adding the Russians, they failed to properly explain how they discovered the Upside Down in the first place and how they built the technology to access the Upside Down.

4) The cast was already too big in season 2.

5) The Duffer Bros were already leaning into the memes they created by season 3 (ex: Steve finally winning a fight, which was actually a cool moment but obviously a reference to the fandom making memes of Steve getting his ass beat two seasons in a row).

6) The weird character shifts from season 2 to season 3. Hopper went from gruff father figure to obnoxious asshole. Billy Hargrove nearly ran over the DND squad to torment Max and he beat Steve unconscious, but is then reintroduced in season 3 as a lovable hunk who was just a misunderstood good guy.

7) The Duffers were already struggling with figuring out what to do with their large cast. Joyce Byers went from the primary character of the series since she was trying to find Will to trying to figure out what was wrong with her magnets. Jonathan and Nancy went on a journalism road trip in season 2 that ultimately didn’t matter to the main plot. And, of course, people noticed that as the series went on, Mike went from being a major character to just El’s boyfriend and Will’s best friend. That’s not an issue that started in S4/S5, you could already see that in S3.

People need to realize that there is a difference between liking a character as a character and liking a character as a person.

I like Azula as character. Does that mean that I like and support whatever she does? No. Azula is an antagonist in ATLA and is the face of manipulation herself. She's violent, cruel and would eliminate everyone who gets on her way. Almost everything she does goes against every moral stands I have. I don't like what she does because she is a horrible person.

BUT..

I like her as a character. I like how she is written. I like how she was portrayed as a villain. She is portrayed as this perfect, precise and smart villain but what I loved the most is how the writers still managed to show that no matter how intelligent and powerful she is, she is still a human. She has a human weakness that became the very catalyst of her sanity that lead to her downfall.

I like her as a character BUT I don't like her as a person. Azula is a good/well-written character but she is a horrible person.

There is a difference between a likeable character and a well-written character. A character's likeability doesn't define how well or bad they are written. A character could be be horrible as a person but still well-written and a likeable character can be poorly written.

An example of this is how M𝚊rinette Dupain-Cheng's character from the earlier seasons (particularly Season 1-3) of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir was handled. She's one of the good guys alright. She saves people with her alter ego, she stands up against bullies, and she genuinely cares for her friends. How did I say she was poorly written you ask?

Image 3 Context: M𝚊rinette snuck into Adrien's bedroom as Ladybug to give him her gift.

Flaws are what makes good characters interesting and relatable. They can make mistakes and be selfish at times because they are supposed to be human. I mean human in a sense of being imperfect.

But these flaws and mistakes are supposed to be addressed. No part in any of the episodes these scenes addresses M𝚊rinette's actions and views them as mistakes and flaws. If anything, she's being rewarded with her horrible actions instead of suffering from consequences just like how she was never busted from sneaking into Adrien's bedroom and instead got her gift cherished by him.

That being said, these criticisms of her character are only based on how she was written in seasons 1-3. I am no longer watching this show and I don't know how her character is being handled in the later seasons.

What I am trying to point out with the Marienette example is that likeable/good characters can be poorly written.

Also, the amount of a characters' suffering and their good/bad actions doesn't define how well they are written. How well a character is written depends on how thay are handled, the execution of the concepts tied with the character and how their simplicity or complexity is handled.

The same way happy endings doesn't automatically mean well-written endings and how sad endings doesn't automatically mean bad endings.

PS: You don't have to support everything a character does all the time just because they're your favourite

I could just say that it faded, but I'm trying my best not to abandon this interest. I started liking it more than a year ago, and... Based on my gallery at least, I became really obsessed with it in late 2024 and early to mid 2025.

Now, into the important stuff. Their last song released was Real Girl, in May 2024 (we won't talk about that time when YouTube mixed it up the other YFM). Now, it's autumn of 2025, so that's way over a year. After that, they released a few shorts, their last short being posted in 2024 december, then they disappeared completely. Also, I don't have/don't want to get Instagram, so if anything interesting is going on there that I don't know about, please let me know in the comments or smth.

Okay, I know that they have liked more recent comments on Real Girl, one of them being "We need a part 2 to this saga", which makes me kinda concerned, because it didn't really go well when they made a part 2 to a song the first time, and it's also kind of lazy.

But we know Ray. Now he makes true crime videos with ai visuals (and could possibly be reading ai summaries too), which is not just unoriginal, lazy and greedy, but it's destroying the planet as well (if you don't know why, look it up, I'm not getting into that rn).

Sure. We have talented artists and really enthusiastic and friendly people in this fandom who love to talk about their interest and share their creations. And since we're a small fandom, we're kinda like a family. We can find eachother in comments of totally unrelated YouTube videos. But that's about it. Yfm (for now) is over, and a small fan base remains.

Depending on when you find this post, this might age horribly, but right now, things aren't really going well. The only thing that's keeping me interested in this are my headcanons and daydreams about fanfics (especially about Benapuff). The characters aren't developed well (they're barely even characters imo), and we can only rely on our ideas and beliefs about them, but then we just have to wonder, what are the actual characters like?

I want to love Yfm. I don't want to let go, and I'd like to stay, but...

How can you love something that doesn't love you back? How can you love it if it's basically over?

A HUGE portion of the criticisms for BOTW and TOTK boil down to “there isnt (xyz) in this game like other games!” And the answer to it is almost always “yes there is, you are just ignoring it or actively avoiding it or willfully engaging in it in a way that is breaking it and then getting mad that it broke”

Like, if you want a tight 50 hour 3d zelda with a full ACTIVE PRESENT story and linear story/mechanical progression & big dungeons….just listen to what the game is telling you to do and inviting you to see when you see it and you will literally get a classic linear 3d zelda experience complete with “yes, we did infact have ONE PARTICULAR solution in mind for this puzzle!”, deep lore implications, extremely melodic and complex orchestral music, progression, & a zany cast of characters.

Both of these games are so much more than that though, and contains so much more content that people don’t see that meat and potatoes run because of their own choices and desire to break the game wins out over wanting to meet the game where its at. And to be fair, that is a major component to what these games are daring you to do. And you should engage with those, but if you really did want the classic experience, it should be obvious you should treat it like the OOT era games and it will LITERALLY provide that for you in neon blinking lights and guardrails.

I really do feel like these two games are sort of an exercise in discipline /listening /spotting subtly /recognizing things in their new shape as much as they are an invitation to explore experiment and fuck off, and people are mad that the option to break from the path exists at all because they dont have the control or desire or sight to focus in on whats being asked of them and they don’t want to accept the shape of what the game is working with.

I’m not saying these people are playing the game wrong, but the attitude and closed mindedness is the problem. it’s almost always the source of these kinds criticisms that want to present these games as empty repetitive experiences, when these two games give the entire franchise a run for its money on uniqueness and novelty and story depth and profoundness.

You went in for a bad time, didnt want to play, and got exactly what you worked for- a lame, monotonous level skip that jumps ahead of itself, disrespects the intention of the developers, and misses the point of very obviously and enticingly marked gametunnels they made for you.

Like, seriously here, both but totk especially is quite literally an on-rails CINEMATIC GAMEPLAY experience if you want it to be, it literally has a path that is like 99% laid out in such a way that you are directly on mine cart rails and jumping up and down on direct vertical pathways. The regions-to-temple pathways are about as much of a bee-line as you can get. The skylands & cave systems are effectively old oot era compartmentalized zones. Same with shrines. There are so many ways they have created pathways and say “GO THIS WAY” that if you ignore those and get lost its kinda on you for not being observant….. which has always been one of the top asks of the player required to beat a Zelda game.

The biggest difference between these two games and other 3-D Zelda’s is that it just has taken the roof and some walls off the design. It Lets you experience more in context to your journey at any given time and that gives you a lot of freedom and agency to break from the path or stay on your goals, and both enrich your experience and inform what links journey is going to be and how narratively/mechanically/progression cohesive it will be.
