Help! I’m looking for some thoughts on this… What are your thoughts on calorie tracking vs intuitive eating? Aaaand what are your favorite tips, tricks or apps to use with your preferred method?
I am trying to fix my relationship with food so I want to find a balance so I don’t feel like I’m obsessing over food but I also am holding myself accountable and I’m effective on my health journey! Would love to hear your thoughts or what works for you!
Hey everyone. Pretty late post but I wanted to get it in and try out this new spread.
Had a good workout. I brought my gym clothes to work so I went straight to the gym and my body definitely noticed 😅 Logged a new two serving recipe in Cronometer. I tried Banza pasta and it’s alright and high in protein but not worth the amount that comes in the box. I made “two” servings but should’ve just threw the whole box in there. Next time.
Hope everyone is well.
Good start of the week
I went running after work. I did three intervals of 4x400m running + 1x400m walking.
Eating was also good. The highest target scores in weeks. I hope I get motivated and keep going on.
i was told to use cronometer as a way to make sure i'm good on a vegan diet. but it has been really offputting. i've been having a rich diet (veggies, nuts, fruit, beans etc.), my vitamin levels only reach 100%+ after i take a supplement, my calcium and iron always stay somewhere around 40% daily. i'd have to be eating 3 times what i'm eating now and it doesn't seem humanely possible (i'm already eating a lot). help :/
That’s a little strange, it may just be issues with Cronometer to be honest, I’ve had another ask reporting the same issue only a couple of days ago. Just to give you some perspective though, a cup of granola is 25% of your daily calcium even without factoring in a plant milk, and if you had just a cup of tofu with dinner that’d be another 86% of RDA, meaning you’d have gone over from just two servings of two different foods.
As for iron, ¾ of a cup of fortified cereal is your entire daily amount in just one meal, throw in a cup of dried fruit with it and you’d have about another 40% of your RDA. I’d suggest maybe sitting down at the end of any given day and figuring it out manually and comparing it to what Cronometer gives you. Regardless, you can find a good list of foods high in iron here, and high in calcium here.
