Karen Mars has been in a love funk for the past two years after being dumped hard. She's only agreeing to this date because her favorite henchman insists.

“Wow, Karen Mars, she’s…” Hen started, staring at. At Karen Mars. She and her other D.E.B.S. were up in the scaffolding of the restaurant Les Deux Amours. Stakeouts usually proved to be boring. But. But Hen found herself transfixed on Karen Mars. Karen. Who might have been the most gorgeous woman Hen had ever seen? With beautiful braids, with the best figure, with a wonderful black pantsuit on that looked fantastic on her. Karen. Who was currently on what looked to be a date with a certain freelance pilot. And. Hen couldn’t seem to look away from it. Well. Maybe that was good for the mission. They were supposed to be on a stakeout. “She’s what?” asked Chimney, because Hen never finished her sentence. “Real,” breathed Hen, “I – I never thought I’d see her in person.” And. Hen just kept staring at her.

I apparently started writing a supercorp DEBS au awhile ago which is great because i love that idea but i only wrote the ENDING and literally nothing else

OFMD D.E.B.S AU except its not high school students . stede, poster boy perfect spy perceived blond bimbo who is engaged to mary of honeland security and notorious diamond thief ed..stede is obsessed with him and his life and does a ton of research but no one has ever survived an encounter with blackbeard they say. and they run into each other when ed is on yet another unsuccessful blind date that stede and the revenge crew are sent to spy on bc they believe its an arms deal or something. yadda yadda ed keeps committing crimes to get stede's attention and eventually 'kidnaps' him and stede eventually gets 'found' by the crew and has to go back to his previous life leaving ed heartbroken and they eventually have the most cheesy reunion just like the movie holy fuck im just realising that the movie D.E.B.S ( 2004) and Our Flag Means Death (2022) have basically the same story arch hshshshshs. Theyre not highschool students but stedes spy uniform is just as uneccessarily slutty as the movie. ALSO just thought of ed heartbrokenly threatening to pulverize australia and izzy being like 'whats your beef with the australians ?!' hshdhs Lucy Diamond and Ed are the Same Character alsoooo the bit in the film where lucy is like 'originally i didnt want to be a criminal... wanted to be a Pirate!" and then Amy is like " but a pirate IS a criminal" but its ed and stede hahshshshhahs lucius as dominique having to lick a different boy out of his bed every morning ACTUALLY this au would also work with ed as amy and izzy as max .....many thoughts many thoughts. stede notorious diamond thief ed perfect spy but bored of it, izzy brst friend with ambition trying to keep ed by his side hahshshha MY MIND

Okay, so you’d think an OFMD D.E.B.S. AU Ed would be Lucy Diamond, and there’s definitely a version that works like that, but hear me out. Stede is Lucy Diamond and Lucius, with some help from Olu, is Scud, with the rest of the crew as memebers of his criminal organization.

Ed is Amy, the perfect prodigy poster child, Izzy is Max, Ivan is Dominique, and Fang is Janet. Then add on Calico Jack as Bobby, Spanish Jackie as Mr. Phipps, and I think Evelyn as Ms. Petrie, which doesn’t quite thematically fit, but the vibes are on point so we’ll go with it.
