Delicious and flavorful Chinese spare ribs marinated in a savory blend of soy sauce, hoisin, and aromatic spices, grilled to perfection for a mouthwatering BBQ experience.
Ingredients: 2 lbs Chinese spare ribs. 1/2 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup hoisin sauce. 3 tbsp honey. 2 tbsp rice vinegar. 2 tbsp Chinese five-spice powder. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated. 1/4 cup green onions, chopped. 1 tbsp sesame oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: To make the sauce, put honey, rice vinegar, Chinese five-spice powder, garlic, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, and hoisin sauce in a bowl. Put the spare ribs in a big plastic bag that can be closed again and again, and then pour the marinade over them. Put the bag in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight. Get the grill ready by setting it to medium-high heat. Take the spare ribs out of the marinade and sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Let any extra sauce drip off. The ribs should be cooked all the way through and have a nice char after 15 to 20 minutes of grilling, turning them over every so often. For extra flavor, brush the ribs with any marinade that is still left over in the last few minutes of grilling. Take them off the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before cutting them. If you want, you can add more green onions to the top of the hot Chinese spare ribs.
