I forgot to post this yesterday 'cause I got home so late from uni 😭

Yesterday was a pretty tiring, but worth it, day of studying since I missed an entire week of class and had to study all of the content from last week's welding technology class + study from a texbook on science and engineering of materials.

Content studied yesterday:

> Stress-Strain of metals under tension, compression, sheer and torsion tests ;

> Stress-Strain graph (elastic and plastic strain, recognition of ductile and brittle materials, points of elastic limit, yielding, ultimate strength and rupture) ;

> General types of welding ;

> Concepts of welding technology .

My welding technology class went great and I was relieved when I found myself following the explanations with ease and being able to participate because of successful studying and absorption of the last class' content through photos of the board that my classmate sent me. I was really scared I would fall behind but I feel pretty confident and intrigued by the subject and engineering in general... I think I'm finally falling in love with it!

My favorite place on my campus to study- I feel like reflects my vibes as a person

It’s a tiny room on the top floor of the engineering tech building (which is one of the oldest on campus).

You have to go up stairs and across a janky metal platform to get to it because it is beyond/over the stairs.

There’s no proper airflow, a really old radiator, a random fridge and microwave. A random tiny arcade game and Some random computers.

Idk why I j feel like it represents me as a person/the vibes I give off

Hi :) I’m Honey, I am a college student that is a fan of everything from writing to rock climbing to playing space optimization games to everything inbetween. I should bring a somewhat unique perspective to tumblr cause I’m a chemical engineering major, so wish me luck! (Damn, I said that like a job interview. Interesting choice, me)

I am relatively new to tumblr, but I have been around the block on Wattpad, starting there when I was 13. I didn’t post many stories (like one or two, I remember being one of the like 30 13 y/o’s writing about Jack wilder from Now You See Me. ) but I read probably thousands of books there. I embrace my Wattpad past, but look forward to my Ao3/Tumblr combo future. And yes, I was on Werewolf Wattpad. We don’t talk about it (we do).

I am bad at keeping up with people digitally, but I am also welcome to making friends on this website, so feel free to talk ocs or dreams or your favorite units with me! My favorite unit is the microfortnight, which is actually used in some operating systems for the pure hilarity that is the idea of using micro fortnights as your base time unit. (I’m a goddamn nerd :/ )

The 12

The main thing I’m writing right now is something I like to call “The 12”. I have a bunch of characters (12 of them) that I made years ago, and have been trying occasionally to put them into a story. I will not delete any, no matter if it would make a better story, because I’m attached. The current iteration of the 12’s story would ideally be presented as a multi-media book (for lack of a better term), that changes between audio, text, and even pictures occasionally. I started writing this iteration at the end of July in 2024, so we’ll see how much longer it lasts.

Other hobbies

I have picked up and dabbled in just about every kind of endeavor you can imagine. I have crocheted, embroidered, and scrapbooked. I have made music, I have made music videos (… don’t search up my username on YouTube. All that you’ll find is me :/ ). I have read a lot, and am currently dabbling in writing. I even go to the gym and rock climb and love to move in weird directions (hyper flexibility for the… win?). I would like to learn French (I took 3 years of classes in high school and iirc im lower intermediate in everything other than speaking). Then on top of it all, I currently work as a math tutor for most college level math, physics, and some stats classes; plus I’m an engineering major. I am the definition of a jack of all trades and a master of none. Cause I just have fun :)

halfway done with this exam session!! i'm now waiting for the results of my calculus I written test so i will know if i can try to take the oral part of the exam. in the meantime im studying these ~60 theorems (yuck) i am also experiencing with ankidroid to see if its any worth and it can help with structuring my study a bit more! it seems easy enough to use and set up, so for now its a thumbs up. we will see how it can perform in the long run. cant wait to be done w these exams so i can focus on setting up my notion and organize my semester schedule :3
