Ty runs across Kit just before The Wicked Powers takes place. He catches the streak of blond at the corner of his eye. At first he thinks it's Jace but then he spots a chin mole at his body turns around subconsciously.
He watches Kit pass him without noticing him and something in his chest clenches uncomfortably. He goes back to the dorm trying to decipher the ache in his chest. He wonders what it could be.
Late at night, under the blankets, just before he closes his eyes to go to sleep that he admits that he knows that this beating in his chest is. He's known all along.
It hurts.
