🔥 3 Move Fire Set 🔥 with @heathascott ~ 60 seconds of work 30 seconds of rest for each exercise ~ 1. Overhead DB Loaded Split Squats (10lbs shown here) do both legs right & left for 60 seconds each ~ 2. DB alternating slow Bent Rows ~ 3. DB alternate shoulder squat exchange (25lbs shown here) ~ this set takes 6 total minutes and will light 🔥 you up quickly. I brought a large mat ages ago, with the intention to do more (some) hiit, core and general fitness work. I finally used it this afternoon. I did I short warm up of walk outs then the five exercises. I did each five times. I think I should have them all through once, five times! Either way I got them all done. But five sets of sit ups back to back almost sent my belly in to cramps. 😂😂😂 I do have the bits I need and but you don’t need much. So I almost didn't post this video. Took most of the week to overcome that feeling of inadequacy that sometimes sneaks into our heads and stops us from doing things. We put the work in, in silence, behind closed doors, afraid that if we allow people to look into what we're doing they will point out all the imperfections. Truth is, this is real. Real isn't perfect. I do what I can, when I can, how I can, every day. I'm inspired by incredible people that give me the energy and courage to keep going. And I really shouldn't be ashamed of the journey I'm on to reach my goals. So, here it is. I had attempted to lose weight countless times before but going into it this time my mindset was a little different. I had always thought “do it for the ‘oh you got hot’ or as revenge for all the people that called you nasty names. Instead, this time I decided to do it for me, for my physical and mental wellbeing and to be taken seriously in my future career (w.e that may be). That shift in thinking made all the difference!
Had you taken this #transformationtuesday pic and showed it to the me on the left I would have looked at you in both disbelief and estacy. But I would have said something along the lines of "I will never look like this” because my self confidence was non-existent. Fast forward to today… I’m prepping for my first bikini show, live to help and share my passion for health and fitness with others. I’m ready to take on the world. As impressive as my physical transformation may be, I believe the emotional one to be WAY greater.
Z-Press Race to 100 Reps ~ Set the clock ⏰ and see how quickly you can complete 100 quality Z-Press reps. Now the key word is “quality” focus on truly engaging your trunk (abs) and keeping your hamstrings and heels pressed to the floor. Take as much rest as needed to breaking up the 100 reps however you see fit. This is one of my favorite shoulder patterns to use weekly both loaded and (unloaded as you see here) Beginners cut the load down to 50 reps to begin. 🔥 3-Way Leg Day 🔥 ~ For everyone asking me if I only do Bodyweight movements ~ The answer is NO (link in bio for full podcast on my weekly routine) Here is an example of one of my loading lower body days ~ Deadlift 8 x 8 at 315lbs ~ Split Squats 8 x 8 each leg 65lbs DB each hand ~ BB Walking Lunges 8 x 25 yards = 200 yards total at 135lbs ~ 3 moves nothing sexy just the basic foundational movements that build a strong athletic body. You can get sexy and cute ONLY after you have mastered the basics with Bodyweight then with load.
