Sad day. I just realized Weightz/Shitblrz disappeared. She's so real though, I'm sure she had good reason. She was always an inspiration and hilarious. Thank goodness I was able to find other incredibly inspiring people through here though :) And there are a ton of great blogs. I do find it weird though that all the ones I started on [weightz, athlete.io, zuzkalight, etc] have all either changed so much that I can't access their content, disappeared, or on hiatus. But change is good, finding new inspiration is probably needed. So...onward!!
So, my brother interrupted my 12 week program with a new simpler 3 day a week program that kicks my bum. He basically took my favorite lifts and some of the most effective lifts and just has me doing them. The catch was, I am working in a higher rep range and I have to do interval stair climber for 10 mins [or as long as I can...for now only 5 mins] and SOMETIMES the bike contraption [the one where you sit back].
Anyway, I'm liking it. But now I want to add in my at home workouts for extra cardio. Also, tomorrow I start Carb Nite Solution. Which I'm super stoked about.
I also REALLY need to start going to be early. I want to workout in the mornings again. It's when I have the most energy, the time I'll most likely to get my workouts done, AND when it comes to the gym the best time to go = less people there. Soooo...aiming for 5am rises more often. Especially the days I want to get to the gym.
Today I need to do some girl maintenance. Toe nails, possibly trimming my hair, AND I'll do a little at home workout.
My knees are still no bueno, so sprinting and squats, etc are hard without my knee braces and I will not risk any jumping type movements until I get stronger and lighter. So this is what my 12 min workout will look this evening:
My interval timer set for 10 seconds rest, 30 seconds work, 18 rounds.
So if you do the math, this is 6 different exercise for 3 rounds.
High drop kicks [alternating legs]
T-pushups
Overhead sb squat
Reverse pushups
Dip station V leg raises
Mountain Climber Sprints
After Wednesday, I should have one of my bffs joining me in my at home workouts. Not physically, just we are both doing the same at home workouts on the same days and keeping each other posted on how we did :) I think it'll be fun and VERY motivating.
I lost a lot of weight doing at home workouts inspired by Zuzana Light and Crossfit but modified for my weak pained knees. The reason I'm in the gym is mainly because I love how I feel when I lift heavy, and so this is like my hobby now. I'm a beginner, so I'm relying on my brother who has been lifting for a long time, to help me even my strength out before really starting to train heavy :) He also has in mind that I'm very focused on losing fat too. It's always great when you have people close to you who really care and are able to help you out when trying to achieve your goals.
Anyway, enough blabbing. I apologize, I will not be reading this over to edit. Just venting some Monday Morning thoughts on my physical goals :)
