here's how I know Fran and John love each other to the point of knowing each other implicitly: all John had to do was turn around and put his glass on the table, and lean into his wife's shoulder, and Francesca could tell that she had hurt his feelings. and then, instead of accusing one another or holding grudges, they immediately talk about why he feels hurt and she neither ignores or dismisses this, but gives her explanation for her actions, and he listens to this while still making clear his own position. they figure things out, and she makes to rectify where she overstepped. I LOVE THEM! they are such a refreshingly honest and open couple.

francesca’s promo video had so many easter eggs and hints at how her storyline is going to go this season but i’m definitely hung up on “eloise and…john’s cousin”.

i wonder if she and michaela aren’t going to get along at first because francesca is overwhelmed by michaela’s personality (rooting for her to be at the raunchy parties benedict goes to pre-sophie. fingers crossed for lady-rake michaela). also based on book michael, he definitely keeps francesca at an arm’s length after falling for her at first sight in an attempt to be loyal to john. maybe michaela is not being overly friendly to fran as a result so fran thinks that she doesn’t like her. not quite enemies to lovers or friends to lovers, just awkward vibes. as long as they do right by my boy john (and his fate) this season, i can get behind it.
