I would like to address some stuff this

Akihiro has for such a long time been just a very harmful bisexual stereotype.

Promoting your favorite bisexual characters and basically saying "Force yourself to like this other queer character you have zero interest in instead of just fighting for the character you're passionate about getting better representation because I refuse to knowledge your Canon favourite character as queer "/ "Actually his bisexuality don't matter don't fight for better representation for them instead care for these ones instead" is in an insane take.

Love how this person glossed over the genderfluid thing because they know their arguments falls falt when we acknowledge that lok's gender fluidity has been has been shown on page alot therefore they are queer.

Why do you feel the need to tear down a queer character to promote your queer characters? Do you actually genuinely think people is gonna like them when you behave like this?

The Trouble With HELL, by @beerok23. Rated E, chapters 13/19.

I might have developed a little obsession with this rivals to friends to lovers fic! I keep thinking of this human version of our Ineffables and the ways in which their brilliantly built romantic and sexual tension might be resolved. The characterisation, the banter and the humour in this story are absolutely off the charts, the plot and the mystery are compelling, and the slow burn is delicious and agonising! Everything comes together splendidly in this (so far) angst free fantastic human AU. I can’t recommend it enough. If you don’t read WIPs consider subscribing to read it later, but the story is complete and the writer has decided to have mercy on us all and posts twice a week!

Accidentally In Love, by SpyGlassez. Rated T, chapters 13/49.

Lovely and tender human AU. Ace Aziraphale is suffering from long COVID and is living a fairly solitary life, thinking he’s not worthy of other people’s genuine friendship. When he follows the advice of his only online friend and puts an ad in a magazine to meet new people his life might change for the better. One third in, I’m loving this story about friendship, love, courage, honesty and healing.

Group Chat: Flat 3B, by whatkeepsusalive. Rated T, chapters 5/15.

I dare you to find a sweeter, fluffier story than this amazing, joyful, friends to lovers human AU. Crowley and Aziraphale are flatmates and clearly in love with each other. But I’ve never read any fiction where the take on their mutual pining is light and happy and open. The gentle banter, the enamoured flirting, the disarming honesty this version of our Ineffable show is new and I want to see more of it. All completed by a good amount of humour. Highly recommended.

Mornings After Nights Before, by Majnoona @majnoonathelibrarian. Rated M, chapters 1/3. 

I love the gentle and delicate tone of this human AU. Aziraphale wakes up in a stranger’s bed. This has happened before. What has not happened before is that he doesn’t want to leave. Great characterisation and just lovely, warm vibes. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Scorn And The Saint-Maker, by beardo @e-rated-beardo. Rated E, chapters 42/?

Anthony and Angel’s saga continues in this not-quite human AU. The plot thickens and other things harden. I’ve said it before and I’ll never tire of repeating it: the prose in this fic is just beautiful and touching, the characterization and the humour are great and it has some of the best smut scenes you will ever read. I love all these things, but what keeps me hooked on this story is that I want to know what happened, how it happened, when it happened/happens/will happen and how they are going to fix it. And if the journey it takes to discover that is wonderful, all the better.

Human AU where Crowley, recently divorced, and Aziraphale meet at a metal concert. Crowley taking his vulnerability seriously is very cute and Aziraphale being self confident and caring is, as always, lovely.

Showstopper, by espresso_six_shots. Rated E, 40k. P. May 25.

Sweet and zero angst human AU, where Crowley is an actor who decides to take part in a TV baking show (I think based on The Great British Bake Off) because he has a crush on the judge, Aziraphale. As the story progresses, more of their backstory is revealed. As a big fan of side characters I loved everyone who made an appearance in this fic, with Tracy sometimes stealing the scene. Lovely.

90 Days To Change Your Life (A Wanting You Companion Fic) by @spectrallydistracted. Rated M, 20k. P. Mar 25.

Oh, I loved this story so much! Human AU that starts with a fantastically self confident ace, cage dancer Aziraphale and a fairly cynical Crowley who goes home with a different woman every week. This is the story of Crowley's journey and is told in his POV; its companion, Wanting You… Is New (which I haven't read yet, but will soon) will tell you Aziraphale's POV. I loved every minute and every aspect of this story: Aziraphale's joy, Crowley’s self discovery, a touch of angst, and the two of them working hard on themselves because being with the other is what matters most. A special mention goes to Bea, whom I thoroughly adored!

Prepare to guffaw with this seriously hilarious fic! Every line will make you laugh harder than the other! In-universe crack fic where Crowley's cock can't take it anymore and has a heart to heart (well, I say heart…) conversation with Crowley. They need to tell the angel how they feel! A gem!

Very sensual ficlet set in the bookshop. Food is involved.

The Bookmark And The Beach Cafe, by in_a_pickle. Rated T, 4k. Jan 24.

Absolutely lovely and delicate in-universe fiction where Aziraphale gets chatting with a waitress while he's away from London on an assignment.

I had a lump in my throat the whole time while reading this, but it's so beautiful. The ending is open and bittersweet in the sense that the story is set at some point before the events of season 2, maybe even before the events of season 1, therefore the ending will be whatever the ending of Good Omens is.

If You Could Just Stay A Little Longer, by @crowleysgirl56. Rated T, 4k. P. Jun 25.

An interesting take on what went on between our Ineffables in 1941, and why they didn't talk again until 1967.

Lovely story where Aziraphale and Crowley were school friends who went separate ways and find each other again via Instagram. Featuring trans Aziraphale, genderfluid Crowley, beautiful art, and sweetness.

Hilarious crack fiction where Crowley takes part in the Cooper’s Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake and Aziraphale is a paramedic. They are adorable.

Read Between The Lines, by @missunderstoodlyrics. Rated E, 5k. P. Feb 24.

I loved, loved, loved this friends to lovers human AU! Crowley and Aziraphale work at the same webzine, are friends and are secretly pining for each other. Just the right amount of miscommunication and very low angst, this story is so sweet and heartwarming!

Let Me Be Empty: A Prologue, by @koala2alll. Rated E, 4k. P. May 25.

High angst fiction but with elements of tenderness that pop up unexpectedly. Crowley is missing Aziraphale and decides to turn to Lucifer for comfort. The fic is narrated in Lucifer’s POV and does not have a Crowley and Aziraphale happy ending. It's beautiful, but please read the tags.

Taking Some Pictures Or Something, by his_infinitevariety. Rated G, 2k. P. Nov 20.

Oh, the sweetness of this fiction! Post canon (written after season 1, but might very well be set after whatever will happen in season 3), Crowley gives Aziraphale his phone to take pictures while on a day out in the South Downs. Aziraphale discovers Instagram. They are so adorable and in love, and will make you smile so much!

Duke struggled on, every puff of his pistons more difficult than the last, but he would not fail, not his passengers, not his railway, and certainly not Staurt and Falcon. The coaches rolled quietly behind him, as if they could sense just how hard it was to keep moving.

‘Just make it to the platform. Just make it to the platform. Just make it to the platform,’ he chanted in his mind.

“Grandpuff?”

He would not fail, he couldn't. 

“Grandpuff!”

He barely heard Falcon call out to him.

‘Come on,’ he chided himself, ‘push on, push on.’

His wheels slipped, and he despaired as the train slowed.

Clunk

He felt an engine take the weight of the train from behind, allowing his wheels to get their grip once more. 

‘Push on! You’ve never let his grace down, don't start now!’ His exhaust barked as he pushed forward, steam pouring both from his funnel and the cracked valve. The engine behind kept up every wheel turn, their whistle sounding through the valley.

‘Ah, Skarloey.’ Duke thought, ‘Her railway must have sent her to help out.’

Duke frowned, that didn't make sense last he heard was Skarloey was barely running herself, she certainly was not capable of pushing with such vigor unless she’d been overha…oh.

He eased his throttle back and his vision cleared slightly; the engine running alongside him on the yard sidings was no longer painted blue or named Falcon, but was red and named Sir Handel. He wasn't on the Mid-Sodor any more, that railway hadn't existed for twenty long years, but on the Skarloey Railway. He let his crew finally close his throttle and regulator, letting Skarloey take the weight of the train the last several yards to the station. His crew were quickly out and examining him, asking why he’d pushed himself and risked increasing the damage. Duke stayed quiet, not knowing how to answer. How to tell them he'd forgotten not just where but when he was.

Skarloey pulled alongside with a wheesh to silence the crew.

“I forget we're not back then sometimes too,” She said quietly

She met Duke's eyes, and Duke saw terrible understanding there.

She looked down to the rails, the crews and Falcon silent, “One minute I’m almost asleep in the sheds, next I'm back broken. One bump away from my boiler bursting beyond repair, waiting for the day the railway's forced to scrap me to make ends meet. In the dark I can't see the changes to the shed, and I’m left thinking I dreamed the last few years until the sky is light enough for me to see again.

“That's why you can't sleep,” Fal…Sir Handel said heavily.

“I don't like sleeping in the shed either,” Duke admitted horsley. “I keep thinking I'm back in the shed, waiting to be found again.”

Skarloey’s driver’s expression hardened, and she bent down to look her engine in the eye, “we’ll fix it,” she looked over to Duke, ‘for both of you.”

“You can't save us from the past.” Skarloey reminded gently. “It has already happened,” She said.

“Watch me,” her driver said firmly and strode off towards the Thin Controllers office.

Duke returned from Crovan’s Gate works the next night. He felt better, if embarrassed by his lapse. The other engines didn't mention it, but the shed arrangement had changed. He was shunted into the shed facing the back of the shed rather than out, which confused him until he was realized he was being placed in front of Skarloey, with Rheneas to the side of his sister. An electric fixture had been fitted between them, although he had no idea what it was called, and it emitted a soft warm light between the two engines.

No one said a word, but Duke found himself incredibly grateful he had not just found a new railway, but a new home.

Okay so, like, help. I am a writer and i love making my characters queer as fuck but ive never written a genderfluid character before. Basically im wondering how i would refer to he/she/them when theyre not in the room/scene since i wouldnt really know her/his/their current gender (well since im the author i could just decide but i wanna do it properly). This is also just a general question because i dont know any genderfluid person so never really done this before
