#handspun #sockset is coming along! First time doing #toeup #judysmagiccaston & #afterthoughtheal - So clever! Loving this @susanbanderson pattern! (Her #craftsy class is super helpful)✨ Doing toe-up is allowing me to get the most from my handspun... I’ve been able to knit a 16.5” sock with 1.65oz of worsted handspun. Foot will measure 10” when I add 2” for the heel (I’ve set an extra .25oz aside for the heel). I used my favorite toe up double gusset on the bottom pattern by @knitphomaniac . Today you get to see the inside of my socks!! 😲 I mentioned the other day that I prefer to wear shorter socks. Now I haven't abandoned my sock length preferences in the last week...but I am enjoying working up this corriedale handspun so much that the longer I worked the cuff, the more hesitant I became to bind them off! I'm just not ready for these to be off the needles yet, so I decided to try a folded cuff for the first time. Seems like a perfect solution! They are already a little thicker gauge, and a folded cuff will make them even warmer and sturdier. That of course meant that my beloved k3p1 ribbing was switching to p3k1 ribbing. 😐 Since I'm one of those Knitters who would rather do fewer purls....inside out sock.
