Personal Heart Monitor?

I want to record my heart rate, for future references and whatnot, but I don't know what to buy? Do fitbits record your heart rate? There's like lots of different fitbits, so if so, which one should I get for like a continuous heart reading? Or is there a device that records rhythm along with the heart rate, for personal use? Or a device other than fitbits that work great as well? Suggestions?

Hey buds with heart probs, if im on a daily dose of metoprylol do you know if its ok /safe to take another one as I need it if im unusually symptomatic? Bc i know its used like as needed sometimes

I have to wait over 3 weeks to get into the cardiologist. Cool.
