[me still feeling quite miserable after yesterday, but hopefully not on the way of another heat exhaustion, at least I hope, I decided to make poor tybalt suffer too from the heat. That's not angst, I promise. Tybbs is mostly fine, Verona is just too hot for him but he has his cousins and boyfriend who will look after him now. Also this time Jules will see how sweet her husband is with her cousin.
You're a great inspiration @vicapuleti and deserve all this fluff I'm writing now... 💖
(also, if it's hot and you're outside, take care... Even if you're inside though...)]
Avoiding fights was, in their opinion, much better. Well, it was obvious after all, everything was better than fights, no one could argue on that.
Romeo looked genuinely confused when he saw tybalt staggering their way, like hurt, or drunk. Whatever the reason he didn't looked so hot. - or maybe it was the heat of that previous days finally taking its toll. -
"tybalt. - he called waving a hand in his direction. - come sit here." he smiled when tybalt actually accepted his offer, he moved closer to benvolio leaving a new spot under the tree and tybalt plopped down heavily. "are you okay? You look... Off."
"'t's nothing. Just a bit too hot I guess." romeo nodded, not really thinking much of it, it was indeed hot that day, much more than the others, but sometimes a soft breeze would come over them so it wasn't that bad.
Well, it wasn't bad for him, and benvolio, tybalt had other ideas.
"why... Why did I chose to walk outside today? Why?" he heard him whine as he slumped over Romeo without asking. It wasn't like he would tell him no, of course, but it still took him by surprise.
"do you... Ehm... Do you want to lay down? A bit?" at tybalt's confused look benvolio almost laughed.
"you're already sprawled all over my cousin, and still you make that surprised face?" he looked at both of them before putting his head back on romeo's shoulder.
"I fear I'll be sick if I lay down. Don't want to be sick. Don't like it..." he whined again closing his eyes.
"sick? What do you feel?" romeo turned to take a better look at his face, he didn't seem hot against him, in truth his skin felt cool at the touch. "Tybalt?" he called again when the only answer he got was a miserable whine. "Tyb come one, answer me, don't make me worry... - he tried. How could his skin be cool? - ain't I your favourite cousin?"
"you're not julie. You're the bother cousin."
"that's nice to know..." he tried to sound casual, even with benvolio laughing at that and humming a quiet "you're not so wrong tybalt.", but didn't help that he still didn't know what exactly was wrong. "whoa whoa... If you don't want to lay down at least stay up here..." he grabbed him from the shoulder when tybalt swayed despite leaning on him. "I'm serious now, do you need something?"
Tybalt shook his head, eyes still closed, before trying to actually snuggle closer to Romeo to find a better position that wouldn't let his head spin that much.
"you're not convincing... Not one bit."
"maybe it's the heat. I don't know, maybe it's too much for him and he's suffering for that." Tybalt gave a quick nod before scrunching his eyes shut. Every movement seemed to upset him in some way, even the light. Not to speak of the heat.
"then perhaps we should move somewhere cooler. You could have said it sooner..."
Juliet was walking side by side with mercutio after convincing him, somehow, to let her join them, when romeo yelped and benvolio shot forward and grabbed tybalt as he fell.
