Jax haters using him "killing his mom" as an argument of him being evil is... I don't really know what adjective I should use that fully describes what it is to me, but it ain't positive, I'm telling you that.
Something I notice about these people is how they consistently ignore the fact that Jax's real-life counterpart Lee is living life normally, something that absolutely would NOT happen had the incident guaranteed problems with the authorities, that is, killed her mom.
I'm not joking, the only times I've ever seen them even acknowledging Lee's existence is for the fact that she's a boymoder, and therefore, get this, "Jax is bad transfem representation because he didn't come out". Okay.
Now, whether or not Lee's mother is dead is ultimately left ambiguous, but even supposing she is, using that to justify your hatred for Jax misses the point in so many ways.
Because you're willing to side with this abusive, emotionally dismissive, kind-of-implied-to-be-incestuous woman just because of the much posterior actions of her alleged killer, to the point you're also willing to ignore said "killer" was her abuse victim, and that the admittedly horrid things said victim did later were because of the trauma she, the mother, caused.
That, my friend, is called "Perfect Victim", the notion of how an abuse victim "should" act to have their abuse acknowledged.
Dare I say, it's kind of hypocritical to call TADC "abuse apologia" for "Jax not facing enough/any consequences for his abuse", yet this is how you react to an abuser getting consequences for her abuse. Accidentally on her victim's part, for that matter.
