reason: Masculinity is a prison // the line “I am no one’s son” is meant to be about the fractured relationship BUT I can take it how I want to. There’s a metaphorical angle, with Bruce (the dad) seeming to still mourn the dead son even though Jason is alive and right there. Jason is described by Bruce as someone who’s almost never happy, cracking her egg could fix her.
