this was funnier in my head
billy batson in 2004: wisdom of solomon won’t let him reveal his secret identity so he has to break up with stargirl & is forced to continue to let jay & the rest of the jsa think captain marvel was dating a sixteen-year-old (he is also sixteen)
billy batson in 2025: transforms back from cap into billy on a rooftop where literally anyone could see him simply to try & fail to sneak a selfie with robin (wisdom of solomon is nowhere to be seen and they didn’t even get to team up)
JSA (1999) #31
it’s sooo so endearing to me that Alan tries to coax Bruce down to meet the JSA as if he’s trying to coax a disinterested cat.
then there’s Bruce trying to maintain his nonchalant gimmick and jumping over the stairs Alan created for him 😭
All bro had to do was just add Jay garrick's Flash, Dr fate, Alan Scott's Green lantern, and either Atom smasher or Stargirl and it would've been PEAK, I am happy that he DID decide to add Zatarra, Sandman and wildcat tho
Alex Montez is DC's most valid cousin because which other civilian character, upon hearing their superhero cousin died, studied ancient magic to bind the entity that killed her to their body in an attempt to extract revenge and control it?
Sth i dislike about modern depictions of Hunkel's Red Tornado is how they emphasis her bust? When in her original comic she passes as a dude and i get it shes either the first female superhero of dc or second depending on the technicalities you consider so you want to emphasis tht shes a woman. Like the way she looks in the jsa 1999 brownstone musueum rules. But now when ppl draw her they make her chest bigger than her belly
