HAPPY FRIDAY MY DUDES!!!!!!

Hope you all had a good week. I’m finally back from my holiday it was lovely but tiring and now I’m off again!! I apparently can’t stay in one lace for too long this month 😂

Right then here are my songs for this week

Skeleton Appreciation Day in Vestal, NY (Bones)- Will Wood and the tapeworms- Everthing is a lot- 2015

I heard this one yesterday with my friend. I just think that it’s so cute. My friend has linked skeletons to this entire album but for this one I just see little skeletons dancing around in a room. Some slow dancing some just vibing and some just doing their thing. Anyway it’s a really nice song and sorry to say this again but SO CUTE.

Just Like Heaven- The Cure- Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me- 1987

Now I’ve known this one for a long time but I just think it’s such a lovely song. I really love the ‘lost and lonely’ lyric To tell you the truth, I am so terrible at describing cure songs because I think that they’re just masterpieces in their own way and the romantic ones are always my favourite (because I’m a big ol’ sop at the end of the day!)

Now here is the upbeat one for this update! I’ve been listening to this album while running (a great idea btw) but I think that this one is my favourite. I love how angsty and teenage it sounds. Just like a fuck them the horny bastards kind of scene in a film before going off and finding their own person to snog. The pain and anger in the vocalists voice is so raw and miserable. The build up in the opening verses is also just amazing. Actually I just recommend the whole album. Those of you who are/were angsty and frustrated teens will definitely resonate with the feelings in the album.

On the non-fandom side of things, here's a playlist I made basically collecting songs that I've found relatable during these last couple years of lockdown and the world generally sucking. It's built loosely around themes of restless lockdown feelings, mental health, frustration with US politics, and trying to maintain hope. Mood: Trying to be cathartic.

Mi casa está llena de plantas, las tengo casi en todas partes donde hay luz. Tengo menta y lavanda y una albahaca enorme con todas sus flores y también ahí al fondo tengo un poco de tomillo, y mi plantita de chile que ha empezado a florecer. Hablando de flores, tengo en casi todas partes de la casa. Los girasoles son mi flor favorita así que siempre hay alrededor, y este pequeñito cayó de mis flores de cumpleaños y lo amo.

Tengo un par de canciones que he estado escuchado mucho, pero recientemente han sido F2020 de Avenue Beat o The Rain de Oh Wonder.

My house is full of plants, I have them pretty much everywhere there is light, so there is mint and lavender, my big basil with all these flowers on top and then in the back there I got some thyme and this is my tall chilli plant he just started to flower. Speaking of flowers, I have them pretty much everywhere, sunflower is my favourite so I always have them. And this little guy fell from my birthday flowers and I love him.

En la cuarentena me di cuenta que anhelaba estar en muchos lugares, pero que mi hogar estaba aquí, adentro de mí y en mi montaña. Y entonces dejé de anhelar y empecé a estar.
