Have you ever lived with a loud mind that demands verbal output? You'll always be too much. For everyone. If you try to tone down, people always sense the inauthenticity, then react maliciously. It is a true curse. Damned if you do; damned if you don't. Even if the mind articulates itself in a pure, curious, and generous way; it will always make you a draining person to be around. Quiet resentment is inevitable when bonds are formed,

"I'll give you my brain if you give me your time."

But the time is limited because everyone bites off more than they can chew. And the loud mind always draws the short stick in the end.

You say your mind is noisy,

always flickering with

fear-shaped shadows

and questions with no answers.

You call yourself a mess —

but I see a mosaic.

Cracked in places, yes,

but catching the light

like stained glass when you laugh.

You carry your nerves like wildfire,

burning warm for the people you choose.

who will sit with you in the static —

talk about songs that say

what you’re scared to,

and giggle about butts

like the world isn’t falling apart.

Someone who won’t flinch

when your softness slips out

tired and shaky.

And I think the right person

won’t just tolerate your storms —

they’ll bring blankets.

They’ll love that your heart

can hold grief and glitter

at the same time.

Because you're not too much.

You're not a burden.

You're just real.

And that is its own kind of rare.
