Okay I got sick of that thing in the hanahaki trope where no matter how strong a platonic love, it will never be enough to cure hanahaki because the disease only considers romantic love sufficient, so here's an idea:
The MC is already in a romantic relationship with their love interest, but they're not quite happy because they're not romantically attracted to their partner. Don't get them wrong, they love their partner to bits, more than anything in the world, but not in a romantic way.
Of course, they're not going to bring that up to their partner. They've heard how hard it is to stay friends with an ex, and how it usually doesn't end well. The MC thinks a breakup with that person would absolutely destroy them. They couldn't handle losing their partner. At least if they stay in this relationship, they'll get to be a part of their life, bask in their light, see their smile after every kiss that breaks MC's heart.
Then, of course, they get hanahaki.
Depending on how you like your endings, MC could die dramatically as a result of amatonormativity, or they and their partner could decide to become besties and live happily ever after.
If anyone wants to write something like this, feel free (although if you could credit me that would be great.)
happy valentine's day to all arolovics/loving aros and paradox aros/arolovedox out there ! mwah 😽💋💘💝💖💗💓💞💕
Large Pixel Size Loving A- Flags
[PT: Large Pixel Size Loving A- Flags]
Loving Ace ~ Loving Aro
Loving Apl ~ Loving Aqp
Loving Analt ~ Loving Asen ~ Loving Anae
Definition: One who is a- [attraction type] and feels that love is still an important part of their identity.
I don’t actually remember where I got the ace and atertiary versions of this flag. I might have actually made them myself? But if I didn’t, I, as usual, changed the aqp flag to a gradient.
All flags are 3000x2000 pixels.

theres something so painful about being aromantic and desperately craving love, just not romantic love
i want to be loved i want to love people, i want to care for and be cared for in return, but i dread being seen in a romantic light, but nobody will care for me as much as i care for them unless its seen as romantic
Aromanticism can encompass so many wide ranges of experiences, like, so many.
There's loveless and heartless aros and loving aros, aplatonic aros and aros who really value platonic love. Alloaros, aroaces, non-sam aros.
I'm a non-sam aro as in I don't consider the split-attraction model to be very important in my identity. I don't feel the need to put boundaries on romantic, sexual, and platonic love and attraction.
Someone else might also be a non-sam aro and have completely different experiences and definitions then me and that's like, totally fine!
There's no one way to define aromantic experiences and there's no one way to define aromantic love or lack-there-of. All of us reserve the right to have our own spaces and be left-the-fuck-alone tbh.
