Apologies for asking, but I *technically* never knew who was your favourite ancient greek historical figure. I might've asked you before, but i just don't remember.

I don't have a specific favorite ancient Greek historical figure. Though there were some who caught my interest...

Miltiades was my first ever historical crush when I was nine years old. I live near the town of Marathon (you know, where his most famous battle took in), we visited the battle location quite often (after all, it is an accessible beach where one can swim), we passed over his statue, one time we even had a school trip when I was twelve, so it was a big part for me growing up. Plus, I thought he looked kinda cool on his bust. And I quite frankly admired his genius in the strategy.

I had a brief obsession with Alexander the Great, though it quickly passed as I considered him to be a basic choice for "favorite historical person". Plus, he's undoubtedly one of the most popular historical figures, so whether you look up for him on the internet or not, you'll always find trivia information about him.

I share your admiration for Pericles, for he was an interesting person in Ancient Athens that had a major influence on his city-state, though I don't agree with his external policies (he was a politician first and foremost, don't forget that).

I was once obsessed with Themistocles, as well. I consider him and Pausanias to be the most interesting greek figures from the Persian wars and the fact that, despite him coming victorious against the Persians and being one of the main reasons the Empire failed to conquer Greece, he fled to Persia after he was exiled and condemned as a traitor and the Persians accepted him with open arms always makes me laugh!!

Oh, and my most recent addition: the Ptolemies! Thanks to "Alexandria: the City that Changed the World" by Especially the first three; Ptolemy I Soter, who was one of AtG's generals, and he was the first ruler of Ptolemaic Egypt, Ptolemy II Philadelphus, who oversaw the construction of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, and Ptolemy III Euergetes, who oversaw the construction of Library of Alexandria. And I shall not forget Ptolemy II's wife (and full sister) Arsinoe II, and Ptolemy III's wife, Berenice II, who had pretty interesting lives and I recommend you checking them out. Gotta love these girls!

9. Favourite historical film?

That's tricky, 'cause to be honest, I haven't watched that many films, I mostly read books, so if the question was about historical books, that would be pretty easy to answer.

A film that I watched a couple of months ago, but stayed with me was "The Messenger: the story of Joan d'Arc", mainly because Joan is one of my favorite female historical figures.

17. What historical item would you like to own?

I don't know if I'm doing it right.

There're plenty of historical items that I'm fascinated with.

I'm currently intrigued by Chinese history, due to its long oast and because of how many interesting figures you can find out about. My current interest is the four great beauties of Ancient China, and Xi Shi and all the people who played a prominent role in her life. So, I'd love to have both of King Fuchai of Wu' and of King Goujian of Yue' swords, 'cause that sounds epic.

The first ever Chinese figure that caught my attention, without being any of the three famous philosophers (Confucius, Lao Tzu, Sun Tzu) that most non-Chinese are familiar with was Wu Zetian, for being the first and only female empress of China. In 700 AD, she wrote a confession tablet, hoping to exculpate herself of her sins. There you have it:

Moving to Ancient Greece, Miltiades' helmet that he dedicated to Ancient Olympia at Zeus' sanctuary (if I'm not mistaken) after his victory at the Battle of Marathon. Mainly because I had a historical crush with him back when I was little.

And I don't know if it counts, but every single book that was burned at the Great Fire in the Library of Alexandria. So much knowledge lost...

I don't play video games (if that's what the ask means), so I can't answer that.

Herodotus

Herodotus (l. c. 484 – 425/413 BCE) was a Greek historian famous for his work Histories. He was called The Father of History by the Roman writer Cicero, who admired him, but has also been rejected as The Father of Lies by critics, ancient and modern, who claim his work is little more than tall tales.

While it is true that Herodotus sometimes relays inaccurate information or exaggerates for effect, his accounts have consistently been found to be more or less reliable. Some early criticism of his work has been refuted by later archaeological evidence which proves that his most-often criticized claims were, in fact, accurate, were based on accepted information of the time, or are the result of mistranslation or misinterpretation on his part.

The helmet of Miltiades.

Miltiades (c. 550 – 489 BC) was an Athenian Greek general, known for his strategies that led to victory against a much larger number of Persians in the Battle of Marathon (490BC), one of the most famous battles in world history.

After the victory, Militiades gave his helmet as an offering to the Temple of Zeus in Olympia as it is evident from the script carved on it (ΜΙΛΤΙΑΔΕΣ ΑΝΕ[Θ]ΕΚΕΝ [Τ]ΟΙ ΔΙ = Miltiades dedicated (this) to Zeus). The helmet can be seen nowadays in the Archaeological Museum of Olympia.

Miltia: In the mean time, you can use one of the dress pants the other “Employees” use.

Jaune: *Smiles* Thank you. Just let me tell my friend about it. *Turns to yang* Hey yang I’m just going to leave for a moment. I drop my drink on my pants and they told me I can use their dryer.

Later the went to the second floor. Melanie opens the door and enters first, follow by Jaune and then Miltia. Jaune looks around and…

He hears the door getting lock behind him. He turns around and sees Miltia at the door giving him a seductive smile and then looks at Melanie.

Melanie: *Open a bag that is in one of the corners of the room* I’m sorry for doing this to you, but this was the only way to bring you here.

Jaune: *Worry* W-what do you girls want from me?
