I loved this beautiful Fanart of the ship of Thanitaka or Mithanisson from the Star Wars movie The Force Awakens of the characters of Thanisson and Dolphen Mitaka together and above all because I imagined Thanisson with a pet that was a ferret or also a drell and that every time Mitaka tried to pet her she always ended up biting him and above all because I also find the idea that both always slept together in Thanisson's room or also in Mitaka's and also because I love that in this beautiful fanart Thanisson and Mitaka are dressed that way because it makes it seem like they sleep together but also because I imagine that if Thanisson had saved himself from Finn and Poe's escape then he and Mitaka both would have decided shortly after decided to desert from The First Order and would have decided to have their own life together and have problems and being free in every way and above all because I really would have liked that we had seen them for much longer together in the Star Wars movie The Force Awakens... sincerely

Mithanisson for the ship thing ?

Oh, lord. I’ve never even thought about Mithanisson. I mean, I’ve written it, but only really as the depressing result of a Roditaka break-up (poor Than is often a rebound). I also don’t really write Than anything like how he is depicted by his core fanbase, so I don’t really know how well I can address this. I’ll try, though. I’ll do my best for ya.

who is more likely to hurt the other?They are both so soft and fuzzy that it is hard to choose. I suppose I’ll say Than, if only because he has a bit of a manipulative, selfish, youthful streak in him.

who is emotionally stronger?Than doesn’t have the same scathing insecurities as Mitaka and is generally pretty positive, so I suppose he wins in general. That said, I think Mitaka has a greater tolerance for sort of severe, long-term trauma. He gets upset over little things a ton, but when something really awful happens, he can cry and move forward.

who is physically stronger?Mitaka, but only barely. Neither of them are particularly built, though Than looks like he might enjoy jogging? I think he might be a little more fit in the aerobic sense.

who is more likely to break a bone? I think the obvious answer to give is Mitaka, given his exposure to Kylo, but I like to imagine Kylo isn’t always jumping directly to strangulation. Assuming it was the specific conditions that set him off, I’d actually say it is more or less equal. I prefer to think of Mitaka as fairly competent in his job, not too incredibly clumsy, but more prone to dangerous circumstance due to rank and proximity to leadership. On the other hand, Than has little weight to him and seems like the sort to interject where he maybe shouldn’t, earning a little trouble for him. Either way, they grumble and nurse each other back to health.

who knows best what to say to upset the other? Than has an easier time of it because Mitaka is a little sensitive to insult (he just wants people to like him!), but Mitaka can get at the deeper angles. He’s a nice guy, so when he drops something nasty, it is extra impactful. Plus, it is either 0 or 100. He goes right from smiles to drawing up your deepest issues, no in-between.

who is most likely to apologise first after an argument?Whoever was more at fault. They both have a pretty good sense of their feelings and of their own responsibilities in the relationship.who treats who’s wounds more often? I think Mitaka does. He is a little more nurturing than Than is, so he fusses over the tiniest cuts and uses bacta where it isn’t even needed.

who is in constant need of comfort? Mitaka needs cuddles. Always. 100% of the time. Than does his best to meet Mitaka’s needs, to keep him from feeling insecure. He can’t always succeed, but Mitaka still love having him around for kisses.

who gets more jealous? Mitaka! His insecurity breeds suspicion and jealousy. He doesn’t really think anyone would want to be with him before their other options, so he constantly worries Than might replace him with someone better.

who’s most likely to walk out on the other? Mitaka. Sometimes Than can be a little too naive, juvenile, or self-concerned. Plus, he so often fears he isn’t loved (just due to his own nerves) that any relationship can start seeming bad even if it is actually going well.

who will propose? Mitaka will imply he wants to for a long ass time before Than finally gets around to doing it. Mitaka would himself, but he is so terribly afraid of a “no” that vagueing seems better.

who has the most difficult parents?I headcanon that Mitaka’s dad is Firmus Piett and he is dead, so not Mitaka, I suppose. I’ve never really thought about Than’s parents before, truth be told. Perhaps he doesn’t even really remember them, being one of the younger officers. Maybe he was taken off to the Academy at a horribly young age, toddling away before he could even know his family very well at all.

who initiates hand-holding when they’re out in public? Mitaka reaches for it and then waits for Than to close the last inch.

who comes up for the other all the time? I don’t really know what this means?? Comes up? Like in conversation? I guess Mitaka probably talks about Than more. He likes to gush about how darling he is. Little comments on how he looks when he is sleeping. Adorable.

who hogs the blankets? Mitaka is a monster. Poor Than freezes every night. It is the galaxy’s oldest tragedy.

who gets more sad? Mitaka is more vocal about his upset and Than is more silent. It isn’t too disparate in level, though. They’re both pretty happy over all, even if Mitaka is kind of emotional.

who is better at cheering the other up? Than helps Mitaka feel better about himself, tells him to flip off anyone who made him feel shitty. Since Mitaka’s sadness is more surface level, it is usually easier to manage.

who’s the one that playfully slaps the other all the time after they make silly jokes?Mitaka. He is more playful and, on top of that, likes to see if he can get Than flustered.

who is more streetwise?They’re both Order spaceship babies. They don’t know how life works. Dumb potato children.

who is more wise?Mitaka is a little older and has a little more prudence but, again, as they’ve both been raised for their jobs in the Order and little else, they aren’t terribly informed in general life skills or philosophy.

who’s the shyest?Than is a little bit of a social butterfly. He tries to make friends with everyone where Mitaka is more fidgety. Than has to drag him to the officer parties, but they both have a good time once there.

who boasts about the other more? Mitaka. When he does get to the parties, half the topics of conversation are, “Have you met my adorable boyfriend?”

who sits on who’s lap? They take turns. It can almost turn into a fight, really. Just like who gets to be little spoon. They both want to be held.
