“Don’t forget to lock up” Y/n’s boss said as he walked out the door. She was once again the last worker at the shop. Y/N worked at this small convince store on the corner. She only stayed late because she needed the extra money, considering she lived alone in her small 1 bedroom apartment.
*ding* The door made as someone walked again. A tall guy walked in and made his way towards the chip aisle. Y/n just tapped her fingernail impatiently on the counter as she couldn’t wait to leave. 3 more minutes left she thought to herself. She was broken out of her thought as the man placed three bags of chips and an energy drink on the counter in front of her. “That will be… $4.26” Y/N said after scanning each item. The man reached into his pocket. “Open the register” the man said with a smirk on his face pointing a gun at her. Y/N completely froze. “I-I” she stuttered. “Open the damn register” the man yelled. Y/n gulped before opening the register. Suddenly the doors slammed open. “Spider-Man” she breathed out with a sigh of relief. “So this is what criminals are up to now…” Spider-Man said looking at the man. The man quickly reached over and grabbed the money and ran out the store, Spider-Man following behind him. Y/n watched out the window as Spider-Man shot a web at the man and took the money. “Here y’go miss” Spider-Man said as he handed the money to Y/N. “Uh t-thanks” she breathed out. “You need me to walk you home” he asked her. She looked over at the clock as it said 11pm. Time for the store to closed. “Yeah sure, thanks” she said to him. She quickly grabbed her stuff and locked the door. They walked in an calm silence to her apartment. She stopped in front of an apartment complex. “Here it is” she said nervously smiling at the masked man. “Oh- okay yeah uh” Spider-Man stuttered. Cute she thought to herself. “Well, I’ll- uh see you a around. Just call me if you need to be walked home again” he said rubbing the back of his neck. “I don’t have your number” she said with a confused face. “Oh- right yeah…“. “Here” she said as she handed him a pen. “Just write it on my hand” she said extending her hand. After writing his number down they said their goodbyes. He swung up on a roof watching her walk in. He let out a satisfied sigh as he finally talked to his crush.
The first step to creating the first page of my zine was to open photo shop where I created this outcome I also use the program procreate to create sections of this outcome.
First I pasted an image of a woman stand in sidewards and copied it again and flipped it so they were facing each other I placed them in the kind of the centre of the A4 page as a starting point.
then added the image that I created on procreate using the glitch tool to create a glitchy effect on the woman and also have lines on her to represent the topic of this page which is parallel. I made sure that the glitched image looked bigger and I made sure that the layer was put behind the first layer which I feel like works well.
I then added different shapes using the shaped on photo shop are used the eclipse tool the rectangle tool and the line tool. I also added an image of the outline of the woman’s body put into sections I have added a video below on how I created this on procreate using the brush tool it was a really simple way I just went over the outline of the woman and used circles and other shapes to create sections of the body and then I pasted it onto photo shop and made sure that it was offset to the woman so you can see it and it gives it a cool affect.
A big part of this project is type as it is a way of showing the topic that you are trying to show through your artwork so I used type in my outcome and the words that I chose were to relate to the topic of parallel such as alike, equivalent and equal.
Once I’d added all of these steps and completed a I was happy with the outcome and I feel like it portrays the topic of parallel well I then copied it using the marquee tool ready to paste onto my layout of the first page.
Like with my front cover I always start Off with a background as it helps with layout for me I decided to incorporate similar effects as the front cover as I want to have a flowing theme which is a bright colour palette and also using shapes as well to create this background are used the brush tool with a high smoothing are use the eclipse tall and the rectangle toll and selected different colours for the different areas.
At the beginning of this project I decided to create different type faces to help me with inspiration and I decided I wanted to use this typeface that I created in my zine so I copied and pasted it from another photo shop document and made sure it was in the right place and made sure that the sizing was okay.
Now it was time to add the outcome that I’d created I was really happy with it how it flowed all together with the colours but the only thing that I felt is that the background of my outcome merge too much with the white of the background with the shapes on so I decided that I needed an outline.
To create outline are use the shaped hole and selected rectangle taking the fill out of it and only using an outline and selecting the colour black to link with the colour of the title parallel I’m really happy with how it came out and I think that it links well with the topic and shows parallel well.
Ya know that so-called futuristic tech they use in movies...like they used in Minority Report or that Stark character used in all those super hero flicks...yeah, that.
What if all the universe is actually like that and the physical world we see with our human senses is REALLY the illusion 🤷♀️
Like...time and space and all the universe and cosmos and heavenly realm is more similar to holographic eternal energy simultaneously existing and connecting, making everything in the entire universe and all universes and realms connected by divinely infinite energy, making everything actually the same, everything one...of the same eternal energy flow.
There is no ending and no death of anything that once exists. Only infinite transformation. That’s what you are, infinite energy transformed over and over again through time and space.
Your soul is your energy signature.
It’s how you’re recognized in the universes. It’s your cosmic identity like your government issued ID is on Earth.
You matter because you are matter and all matter matters in the ultimate eternal creation.
To exist as energy — whether manifested in the physical world or not means to exist infinitely — as energy does.
It’s why it’s known that we, human beings, are made of the same cosmic particles as star dust.
The God particle is in us all, you see.
The God particle is in everything making everything infinitely connected by divine energy we can’t see or process with our limited human senses that are meant for use during our physical journey on Earth.
Energy that never ends and never dies, but is infinite beyond our human comprehension.
And in that, we find the meaning of life.
To understand love is the greatest power in the eternal energy of God’s creation because love is what renews and restores and gives and grows and provides and shines.
The light of His eternal energy divine is called the feeling of LOVE. When you feel love, you feel God. It’s not because of a person or money or drugs, it’s love.
That’s really the best feeling in the world and we all know it.
We’ve become accustomed, as human beings who crave love and don’t receive the love we crave, to substitute that void of love with other things (such as people, money and drugs) that seem to mimic the feelings of instant pleasure without the actual long lasting contentment of true love.
God is love, you see? Until we see and know God’s love for us — and understand how because God is everything and God is love — LOVE is EVERYTHING, then we will fear life and fear death and be confused by everything in between.
But love is the answer we seek.
It’s not about being kinder one day, it’s about changing our mentality.
You can’t create peace by fighting and you can’t build universes out of hate.
The universe appears black/dark because it is the absence of all color.
White appears to us as white but is technically (by human terms) the presence of all color.
God is the light that is birthed into the universes and appears to our human senses as color. Bright and beautiful glowing colors...that’s how God shows Himself to us; in the beauty of everything.
