I need to put this out there somehow since there is nobody to talk about it in rl:

Damian does not understand gender.

They know that there are differences, that there are so many feelings and opinions and studies and whatnot...

They just don't get it.

Because Damian is Damian, what's between their legs is another part of their body, and they don't have anything to say or feel about it. It just is. It doesn't change who they are as a person.

Damian can follow when people describe their own experiences but can't understand it.

They study and read and learn until they think they have an answer: Non-binary.

Damian feels better knowing they are not alone, but sometimes, the thought of being like the rest of their family is there, and they wish...

Because they are not alone in the world, and their family supports them... but sometimes they wish...
