Posted @withregram • @pacingpixie Self care is a privilege. Being chronically ill means constantly prioritising and sacrificing tasks. What do you risk doing yourself? What do you ask someone else to do? Have you asked for too many things? What if you don't get the vital thing done? It's a calculator ticking over every day, as we barter, struggle and compromise to keep our heads above water. ID The Self Care Equation (Or why my hair is dirty, skincare nonexistent and I'm still wearing PJs at 3pm) Underneath it says 6 tasks to be completed - 2 tasks carer can complete - 1 task I can complet = 3 tasks not completed. Above this summer there are icons corresponding to different tasks: Hairbrush, washing machine, shower, cutlery, toiletries bottles, cleaning products. In the first section all 6 icons are present, then the cleaning products and cutlery, the the hairbrush and then the shower, washing machine and toiletries. #DisabilityAwareness #DisabilityLife #Disability #Disabled #ChronicIllnessAwareness #ChronicallyAwesome #ChronicallyFabulous #ChronicIllness #InvisibleIllness #ChronicallyIll #Spoonie #SpoonieLife #SpoonieCommunity #NoSpoons #Unchargeables #ChronicFatigue #ChronicPain #SocialCare #SelfCare #SelfCareSunday #CheckYourPrivilege #AccessIsLove #Carers #Inclusion #BabeWithAMobilityAid #CripplePunk #DisabilityAdvocacy #Spoonies #TheFutureIsAccessible #ChronicallyBadass https://www.instagram.com/p/CTqPilhJAt7tZiZ5cHG2ly8SQaxoGJ5VX1_JK00/?utm_medium=tumblr
