astrology observation from a daughter of an astrologer: EMPTY HOUSES 2.0
- many people argue that empty houses mean there isn't a major focus on topics of that house, but in my experience, person actually CANNOT focus on the topic of empty house and aren't able to manage that part of their life on their own resulting in inhabitting something from their family members, copying others, needing direction from someone etc.
For ex.
1. Empty 5th house: These people are definition of "jester of all trades, master of none". They are usually gifted in their childhood and then burned out by their late teens. They pick up many hobbies through out their life, but end up semi good at most of them majority of the time. These people are usually really lazy, so even if they are talented at something, they will end up procrastinating and hoping that talent without practice is enough. IF THE 5TH HOUSE IS BADLY ASPECTED, these people will drop any hobby, job etc. the second they find out they're not immedietly good at it. These people will have problem to find meaning or fullfillment in any activities they do, resulting often in procrastination and depression. These people will also rely too much on their ability to improvise and rarely practice or prepare for various things.
2. Empty 2nd house: These people inherit a lot of stuff from their family members or friends. They usually rarely buy anything new, if they need clothes they will go thrifting, if they need new appliances they will rather go look on facebook marketplace then go into IKEA. They also move out really late or don't move out at all from their childhood home. These people also have just a lot of family heirlooms and tend to be quite sentimental. IF THE 2ND HOUSE IS BADLY ASPECTED, these people will refuse to buy or invest into anything new in their life. They would rather walk in teared up shirt than buy a new one. They will use everything they have to the point that is unhealthy and can damage even themselfs just to save up. They also have extreme tendency to hoard.
3. Empty 9th house: These people have very unstable morals. They just tend to copy their morals and beliefs from their family, friends or social media. They have problem in finding middle ground, so they immedietly go into extremes. These people will go from nihilist and atheist to fullblown orthodox christian in weeks. IF THE 9TH HOUSE IS BADLY ASPECTED, these people tend to fall for propaganda, hoaxes and fake news easily. They are the best prey for scamms, cults etc. They will easily detach from anyone who doesnt share same beliefs as them.
4. Empty 10th house: These peoples job isn't their priority. They often tend to do the first job they can find without thinking about it too much. They are often getting jobs based on recommendations. They often pick careers based on what other people recommend them. Because of this, they end up not that connected to their jobs. They are also mainly known by their family name, and are basically seen as extention of their parents rather than a separate individual. People have hard time separating them from their family even if they are completely different. IF THE 10TH HOUSE IS BADLY ASPECTED, these peoples reputation is directly tied to their family or closed ones. They often have to bear consequences of crimes and wrongdoings, scandals, affairs etc. of their family members even if they weren't included. People use them as some sort of mediator, and representator of their whole bloodline.
I also love to answer questions, if you want to ask me anything about astrology or your chart, dm and I'll answer for free!

⋆˚꩜。 aot characters’ majors hcs
includes; eren, mikasa, armin, jean, connie, sasha, marco and porco
masterlist
Eren ⋆˚꩜。
Personally I think eren might end up down the med school route, I definitely see him procrastinating till the last week to actually find out what the module he should’ve been studying is even about (he’s literally me).
I believe that he’ll specialize in cardiology, a surgeon or a clinical doctor I’m not sure, however I’m definitely leaning towards the cardiologist part, as I can see him in his own clinic waiting for his secretary to let his patients in.
Mikasa ⋆˚꩜。
mika mika mika,, okay this may seem like I’m biased but i genuinely do see mikasa in med school as well 😭 I think she might end up being a gynecologist, someone interested in researching the hormones and other reasons that may be behind common but understudied disorders related to women, such as PMOS and endometriosis.
That being said I think she might work as a PT at some gym on the side, she strikes me as someone who can manage their time very well, so having extracurriculars beside uni won’t be too unusual for her.
Armin ⋆˚꩜。
Marine biology. very cliché ik ik but honestly can YOU imagine him anywhere else ? this major is so intricately armin coded that I doubt most people would argue, he loves studying the marine life and I can just imagine him throwing out fun facts to his friends about them every now and then, also I feel like he’d be into photographing those little creatures when he’s vacationing.
Like mikasa, I believe that armin is also very good at time management and can work on the side to make some money to buy himself something every now and then or gifts for his friends, etc. He would be a barista at a small café near his uni or his house maybe.
Jean ⋆˚꩜。
Architecture. argue with the wall !!! look at him wearing his glasses with his white button up underneath his beige vest with the matching pants carrying his tools and paper in that cylinder shaped bag thingie (idk what’s it called :P) so cute !
You’ll definitely hear him complaining about the 3D models he has to make and all that fun stuff, and ofc the deadlines from miles away. Might ask for marco’s help with those cuz he loves to paint and is really good at it.
Connie ⋆˚꩜。
Computer science. the guy is a tech genius. connie is a very funny guy, very chill dude, which makes people underestimate him and think he’s stupid but he’s definitely not !! connie’s extremely intelligent and tech savvy, I totally see him developing video games eventually, very successful ones at that.
He definitely plays the drums as a hobby too (should I make a hobbies hc post ? I have so many of those, lmk) also I believe he would be an insane graffiti artist both traditionally and digitally (he definitely owns a wacom drawing tablet) and I think he might be an animator as well, and is responsible for making a lot of graphics for his games (he’s so multifaceted i love him sm).
Sasha ⋆˚꩜。
Applied or fine arts student, maybe fashion and textile ? or jewelry design as well ? I feel as though sasha is a very crafty artist that loves making things by hand.
She has a very hands on approach with everything she does, that’s why I believe applied arts may be an even better fit for her !
Definitely sets up art lessons for kids in the summer, which include but aren’t limited to painting, pottery and bracelet making using beads !
Marco ⋆˚꩜。
Film making. He walks around town with his camera capturing little videos of scenery to add to his montages that he makes for fun. Uses his friends as actors all the time, which makes it so fun for him. marco just loves sharing what he loves to do with those he holds close to his heart (aww)
I feel like if he could, he’d totally use malcolm todd’s music in his films. Loves capturing life as it happens, and tries to mimic it’s spontaneity and charm in his work as much as he can. His storytelling skills are amazing and he has a very vivid imagination which makes his process and instructions clear for everyone working with him. He’s very talented and is very well liked by his peers and professors.
Porco ⋆˚꩜。
my baby, my boy, my lovely boy. Physiotherapy for sureeee. porco is a very sporty individual imo and dabbles in many different ones, but ended up settling for soccer, boxing and maybe hockey ! so he definitely made a TON of trips to the physical therapy clinic.
While there, he ended up befriending his physiotherapist that convinced him to go for it and the rest is history. He enjoys learning about the human body and how it works; the muscles and everything. He also has the build for it, since it requires a lot of physical strength, and ofc he makes sure he has that box checked. Genuinely believe he gives the best massages ever. my boyfriend everyone ^^

Hello - where I have been?
It’s been a while since I last posted, as I am writing this, it has been two months. I am not sure if anyone is going to see this post, but I wanted to talk about some things whether or not it gets engagement. I don’t really care for it? But at the same time, I guess I do. Oh well.
I fell out of love for all of this. When I first started this, I thought I was losing my mind, perhaps had a mental illness, and was hearing things, and it turned out my intuition was coming into fruition. I had a lot of fun helping others and didn’t even know intuition was a thing but eventually realized roughly a year into it. I remember just following what others did with the spirit guides but had no idea what it was, but then I wrote it according to what felt like me. But that fun slowly died down when my posts would be ghosted. Tumblr had said it was a tag issue and I was not shadowbanned, but then all of my posts, even my SFW ones, would get flagged as mature after I emailed them. Hmm… I slowly started to become burned out, like badly, but another part of me kept going because I really fricken loved helping others, in a way, it helped me out too. It was a beautiful hobby of mine, and I am so damn glad I enjoyed it for the time being and tried within those times. But now? I hate it. Ah… it is the truth, to be frank.. 2 months ago was my limit, it just felt like… I was helping people but was getting nothing out of it. Does that make sense?
I know that it is extremely vulnerable to give your feedback to a stranger on the internet, so I would never really get any, and if I did, it would be rare. It is not to discredit anyone, oh my gosh, no. It is just… feedback really helps you in general, you know? I also think it comes down to a lack of business too. I only had one person, and thank you to them as well, but that was that. I know that patience is very important, but when you are patient for almost 3 years, where is the ending point to it? And I know that you can manifest it, you can use subliminals, affirmations, etc., but unfortunately and weirdly? It never worked for me. I guess, thinking of it in a positive aspect, this was simply not for me, and so it never did? I don’t want to talk so much about this, one, I would feel rather awkward expressing my frustrations with something that absolutely no one is obligated to buy from me (my thoughts), and also, it feels morally wrong? But I wanted to include this in my message regardless.
Posting all of this is so scary for me, I have been upfront about vulnerability for the longest time, so I thought it would be only fair to communicate with everyone about this. I was procrastinating this for the longest time, but I decided to f it, and do it regardless of what happens. In my mind, it has to be constant hate, but I also want to believe it is not. I think this comes down to some nasty comments I have gotten over the years and the constant entitlement, but I want to be proven wrong … in a wishful thinking way.
Anyways, I don’t think I will ever come back to this account, ever post again, or even associate myself with this again? I am not in control of my future or what my future self would like to do, of course, but at the same time, I thought I would leave this up and take my leave… after all... I think this journey has ended.
Thank you for being here with me,
May we see each other again.
Sef.
Even this message became mature. I had to fix it.
Hey Puff, been following your work for a while and I wanted to ask: as an artist (and in my case is Undiagnosed, But We're Pretty Sure) who wants to look at improving their craft, but gets nerfed extra hard in the willpower department for practicing the Important But Not Fun Stuff, can you give any advice, tips or tricks on helping with getting over that wall? I understand the "Just Do It" willing-through-it-regardless aspect, but damn has it not helped me that much with consistency for doing the things I Simply Do Not Enjoy! Did you have any luck with finding tweaks or angles on the subject matter that made those things more bearable? Or is it a slog no matter what, and that's just the fact of the matter in your experience? Would love to hear your perspective on this!
So while there is some truth to the "Just Do It" belief, the problem is that it's based on neurotypical standards of "just do it", which does not apply to neurodivergent people (diagnosed or otherwise suspicious lmao). Likes yes, a neurotypical person can just sit down, suck it up, and do the thing, but that's because their baseline for motivation is a lot lower and their threshold for stress is a lot higher.
If you have ADHD or autism, those baselines and thresholds are reversed - it takes a lot more to motivate yourself into doing something you might not want to do (especially if it's something important that you KNOW you need to do), and less stress to get overwhelmed and feel compelled to give up or put it off entirely.
I learned about this acronym recently that sums it up incredibly well:
INTEREST
CHALLENGE
NOVELTY
URGENCY
People who are already aware of the struggles of ADHD can probably glean what this acronym is getting at right off the bat, but essentially it comes down to this - the importance of a task is irrelevant to a neurodivergent brain, so instead of trying to force ourselves to do things based on importance, we should encourage ourselves to do things based on the traits of the above acronym, especially the traits that specifically speak to us as individuals.
First of all, it's gotta be interesting. If we're not interested in what we're trying to do, we're not gonna be motivated to do it. Again, the importance of the task doesn't matter, if it's not important enough to give us the dopamine out of interest to do it, then it's not important enough to grin and bear it.
The essence of challenge is also a huge factor for a lot of auDHD types. I know I definitely excel when I'm presented with a challenge to overcome, but not necessarily a challenge that's being enforced on me, more like a challenge that I decide to take on and rise up to.
Novelty is a pretty succinct way of addressing auDHD people's drive to pursue things that aren't necessarily long-term, but are instead immediately gratifying. It's why we wind up taking on so many other hobbies and crafts, because the novelty is attractive to us and generates dopamine for our brains in a way that the tired old routines can't anymore. The downside to the novelty is that it obviously doesn't last, but that's why it's important to keep upping the motivation through the other three key acronyms - many people (myself included) often have to feel like there's always an uphill road to work up, the ADHD brain especially craves chaos and burns out on routine and stagnancy.
Urgency is a difficult one because on the one hand, people with ADHD don't treat things with any amount of urgency, it's what leads to procrastination. And yet, it's the urgency that kicks our ass into high gear when we have to meet deadlines and that's what leads to that rush of completing an assignment from start to finish the night before. The problem with this is that for many people with ADHD (especially undiagnosed and unmedicated) we wind up creating coping mechanisms that are inherently tied to anxiety. This is why so many people with ADHD also have generalized and complex anxiety disorders, because anxiety is often how we hold ourselves accountable when nothing else will. So a lot of treatment for ADHD involves also addressing those coping mechanisms in therapy, taking medication to manage the anxiety, and learning how to stretch that urgency out over the entire course of a project rather than stuffing it all into one day by procrastinating. Like yes, we do have that ADHD superpower to rapidly produce work the moment it's due, but as many of us have undoubtedly felt, it's an easy way to cause stress for yourself and burn yourself out.
Having my own experiences summed up in an acronym like this was both validating and frustrating - validating because yes, a lot of these points ABSOLUTELY apply to me especially with my own motivations behind stuff like Lore Rekindled and learning how to mimic Rachel's art style, but also frustrating because damn, they've had words for that the whole time which would have helped a lot years ago LMAO (better late than never though, I suppose!)
So no, it doesn't have to be a slog no matter what. Yes, there will be times it will be a slog, but that doesn't have to be the default - and as you get better at identifying your strengths and what motivates you, the easier it gets to weather the slog when it arises.
And yes, using myself as an example, much of the acronym applies to the progress I've made over the past few years. I was interested in Lore Olympus and recreating its art style, enough that I was willing to rise up to the challenge of trying to learn how, which was (at least at the time) a novelty for me to take on as well because it was so different from what I was used to creating and gave me an opportunity to improve my art outside of my bored and burnt out routines, and while there certainly wasn't a sense of 'real' urgency, creating LR gave me a tangible schedule to keep harnessing my art through, as well as the regular reward of getting to share new episodes with you all :)
Obviously this isn't to suggest you should take on a massive project like LR to motivate you to improve, but if you're trying to take on new techniques and styles, you gotta find a way to make it actually fun and interesting for yourself. You'll have a lot more fun that way, and most of all, you'll have a better learning experience because you won't be forcing yourself to swallow the medicine every time.
For me personally, whenever I feel like I'm struggling to work on a project or I'm getting burnt out during the process? I download new brushes and mess around with new styles and techniques to break me out of my "funk". It's fun, it's refreshing, and best of all, it gives me new techniques and perspectives that I can then implement into the work I'm taking a break from.
So let's say you're doing life drawing exercises? Pretend you're drawing an OC in realism. Or maybe you're trying to learn how to paint with acrylic? Look up other acrylic artists whose work you enjoy and want to try and emulate. Or perhaps you're trying to get better at drawing backgrounds? Pick a time period or setting you enjoy and draw from that, pick out building styles and plant life you personally like for your references (and then when the background is done, throw an OC in it or something!) Want to make a project a little more challenging or engaging? Find a buddy you can playfully compete with, someone who you can share your work with, get feedback from, and motivate you to keep moving forward.
It's about motivating yourself through interest and passion, rather than trying to forcefully motivate yourself through self-shame and obligation. Obligation is still an important thing of course, but again, it's about re-evaluating your threshold and baselines and adjusting your approach to your obligations so that you're working with your brain, rather than against it.
I realize that was a lot but I hope it helps! Good luck! :)

new school year tips ˚ ༘ ೀ⋆。˚
one of my favourite past times at the moment is scrolling any social medias on back-to-school, academic comeback, new school new me, high school tips. i decided to share the best ideas, tips, habits, and routines ive found all compiled into one masterlist if you will! i cannot guarantee all if any of these things will work, i also cannot say i would recommend each and every one of them however different things work for different people so, happy studying girlies <3
[credits included where possible]
how to fall into school routines better:
always know what's going on. get a calendar and use it to map out the day, week, or month ahead. set decent reminders, and use it to create a personal routine create flexible routines which accommodate your school schedule. always have a morning and nigh time routine and make sure both are flexible enough to allow for occasional changes stay a unique individual. dont fall into the trap of having school be your entire life. maintain your hobbies and interests outside of school and make time for them wherever you can! set goals that aren't school related - this allows you to grow holistically and not just academically start immediately with assignments and homework. the easiest way to find time for routines is to get through your work as quickly as possible

when to use flashcards: memorizing words/vocab, numbers, equations, names, dates, and verbatim facts or lines when to use mnemonic devices: memorizing steps of a process or sets of facts/information/people, especially in an order when to use concept maps or drawings: learning (rather than memorising ) relationships, processes, concepts, systems, etc when to use tables or charts: learning or memorising systems (e.g. conjugation in a foreign language), sets of sets of information (e.g. people and when they lived and what they did), and other large, complex group of information when to use songs: for learning or memorising anything
things to try to not get burnt out this year:
take a night once a week to not think about school - watch your favourite show, bake a sweet treat, and let your body relax and destress
try not to procrastinate! find a schedule that works for you so you don't get overloaded
when studying take a 10-15 minute break every 30-45 minutes. get up an walk around, get some food, scroll etc
if you dont feel motivated, pretend your in a movie or tv show - the scenes where they're tucked on their bed with their feet up and crossed, and they're cracking open highlighters with their teeth over a textbook with rock music playing [cred: @.artemissstudies on tumblr i believe]
the SQ3R method [cred: dreamydas]
SQ3R (survey, question, read, recite, review) is a reading comprehension technique that helps you to identify important facts and retain information within the textbook.
survey - skim over the reading instead of in detail
question - form questions of the topic
read - begin reading the full chapter and look for answers to the questions you formulated
recite - after reading a section, summarise in your own words what you just read
review - review by quizzing yourself on what you just learned
how to be a better student:
have a study playlist - calm without lyrics mainly get lots of rest, as much as you need - dont pull all nighters avoid devices during studying unless being used for study purposes use cute stationary take breaks in-between studying and get fresh air have healthy snacks to boost energy
hi! that's all for now but theres a line up of more back to school theme post on the way! i love you alll <3
