Someone (I think it was @jeezezbree) posted a headcanon of Miu from Ginga Densetsu Weed/Ginga Densetsu Weed Orion being a trans girl, and, naturally, I lost my marbles.

Miu’s name means “Beautiful Feather”, so I think her nickname around the country would be “The Feather of Mutsu.”

Most of Kisaragi’s kids are probably trans. You don’t end up with 19 sons (not including Miu, obviously) without some Transed Genders.

Miu’s floppy ears come from her mother, a malamute.

Briar is giving his sister an earful for her treatment of Edme back in the Gadderheal and her constant attempts to sabotage the young watch wolf. For Lupus’s sake, they both have a reputation for being prickly, but this crosses the line!

Banja won’t tell him that the reason she hates Edme is that the one-eyed, reddish, timid wolf reminds her of everything about herself that she knows and hates, but her brother knows. He knows.

Spoilers for Wolves of the Beyond books #3-5!

Both Briar and Banja are identical twins, but Briar is trans.

They were their mother’s last litter.

They both have Mocrophthalmia (abnormally small eyes)

They are nicknamed “The Burrs of the Ring”, on account of their stubborn personalities.

Briar is dating Jasper, along with several other male wolves at the Ring. 

They originally hail from the MacDuncan clan.

Banja was originally the only one selected for the Watch at the Gaddergnaw, but she flat-out refused to serve unless her little brother came too.

Banja is well-known for her flashy and sophisticated jumps. Briar is also known for his jumps, but prefers to let his sister have the spotlight just this once. 

They...did not have a good time as gnaw wolves. Briar was always kind of snarky and would mouth off to higher-ranking wolves in the clan, and Banja was lazy because she didn’t see the point in working for a clan that only abused them. They were both pretty mediocre gnaw wolves and got punished a lot for mouthing off.

Both of them have a bit of a chip on their shoulder, but Banja definitely moreso.  She...did not have a good relationship with the she-wolves of the MacDuncan clan, and this clearly rubbed off in her relationship with Edme.

When the two of them are together and in a good mood, they will snark at anything and everything. When they’re funny, they’re hilarious, especially Banja.

Briar is the more laid-back of the two.

They like to play pranks and have a grand time pretending to be each other, especially around newbie Watch Wolves and at gaddergnaws.

Both of them are really good at storytelling. 

Both of them are hardcore perfectionists, and tend to hold others to the same impossible standards they hold themselves.

When Banja became pregnant with Maudie, Briar refused to tell a soul even though he didn’t agree with what she was doing. He drew the line at helping her cache food, though.
