Figuring out the Doubles for Aligned Canon
i know this shit is mostly the lack of communication/research into the other parts of the continuity on the writers parts but I still wanna figure this out. I was gonna just say identity theft to all of them but i realized there were some more fun explanations that fit better.
RescueBots Blurr was a a fan of Exiles/Novel Blurr and renamed himself after him. He doesn't correct people when people think he's the OG Blurr so that lands him in this category
RiD2015 Sideswipe (formerly Fastlane) stole his name from a memorial he saw for fallen soldiers while he was on the run from the cops. WFC Sideswipe fell in battle* and Sunstreaker is BEYOND furious at this little shit for smearing his bros name and is actively hunting his ass down.

RescueBots Blades with WFC Blades/Defensor*: The Protectobots likely had their hopes falsely raised when they heard about a helicopter rescue bot going by "Blades" on Earth, but they were still willing to help establish the new Rescue Bots Academy.
RBA Hot Shot was named after WFC Hot Shot/Hot Rod. (This is honestly just because Aligned!Rodimus wasn't legally allowed to be named Hot Rod/Rodimus and was subsequently renamed Hot Shot for the game)
WFC Grimlock is DNA source for the experiment/project Shockwave ran to make RiD Grimlock**
* this doesn't apply to my Red Guys Live AU/most of my TFP stuff but I DO think it's what's going on in the canon
** Wheeljack's involvement with the creation of RiD Grimlock and the other Dinobots is uncertain, but all were made in the same lab as Wheeljack
